Always get a second opinion
Dr. Lou is a great guy, but the care has gone downhill over the past couple of years. When you're told 'there's nothing wrong with you' and less than a week later you find yourself having emergency, life-saving surgery at another hospital, clearly there was something wrong that was missed. Unfortunately, Optum is all about minimizing time with the patient and maximizing the quantity of appointments. Inevitably, when you operate in this manner, things will get missed. Wonder how many other folks have almost died because of this. Proceed with caution and ALWAYS get a second opinion if Dr. Lou is your doctor.
