I was referred to Dr catalano because I was having a nerve situation in my face that made ER docs think I possibly had MS. Took 4 months to get an appointment. When I finally went he diagnosed the nerve condition and then refused to tell me what it was called because "I know you women you'll just look it up on the internet and drive yourself crazy." The man literally refused to tell me my diagnosis and just gave me muscle relaxers to treat it. It wasn't until my PCP, thankfully through the same network, accessed his records to find out what it was called that my PCP and I both learned that I have mykemia. The migraine treatment that followed, let's just say that I had to prove how much I suffered before I could get anything preventative. The sad thing is I know I need a new neurologist but I'm so turned off I don't even know if I want to bother

EXPERIENCE COUNTS AND DR. CATALANO HAS IT......
I've been with Dr. Catalan for the past 15+ years now and he is the best of the best. You don't get to where he's been and accomplished by being shoddy. Some others in the Department think that a hand full of years or a long pretentious name make them an expert. With Dr.Catalano your getting a life time of experience and care, he's the real deal ,I'll take that any day.thanks man !you make me days better.0h,and another thing the staff ,and prescription department are excela's,doing some are really good, the majority NOT ,SO TAKE IT UP WITH THE HOSPITAL.

Do not go to this doctor if your life depends on your medications. The office staff here do not care about you and your life. There is an issue with every single prescription refill and their stance is we will get to it when we get to it. We have missed countless days of work spent hours on the phone. Sometimes you’ll get a call back other times you won’t. There’s no urgency to fix any mistakes they have made. Please find care somewhere else. This office lacks professionalism and urgency dealing with such serious issues. You will be met with a huge attitude if you call to resolve issues regarding to life threatening medications. It’s very sad to be treated this way.

Incredible Physician
I’ve been seeing Dr. Catalano for 6 years now. Before I came to this office, I had never-ending debilitating migraines. (I was in a bad car accident as a child and I have cervical kyphosis). I had to stop working because of how bad they were. It took about 3-4 years to get them under control. I get Injections every 10 weeks. The key for me was to get them every 10 weeks not 12 weeks. I am prescribed a few other preventative medications. I have been able to go back to work and get my life back. Dr. Catalano never gave up on me. He is always there to help me when I struggle. He is extremely kind and patient, and incredibly intelligent. I’m so thankful that I chose to come to Dr. Catalano. Thank you for helping me get my life back.

One receptionist in particular was very rude the other staff were all polite, however during my appointment they were loud and obnoxious right out side of the door. Honestly I could have mistaken them for children. I think my visit could have gone better if the doctor could HEAR what I was saying. Listening wasn't the problem, hearing it correctly was. He is a very old school doctor that asked A LOT of questions, unfortunately not all of them were appropriate or necessary. There were also some comments made that came off as judgmental, unprofessional, and just plain out of line. I would encourage any one who does go here to read through the note on the FMH app following their appointment, some of my information was completely wrong. I had high hopes after finding this doctor on the national headache foundation website, but was ultimately let down. I guess I should have read more reviews. I would not recommend.

Staff does not treat patients with dignity and respect they deserve. Staff unfriendly and rude. I never met such a unprofessional group. So disorganized and sent my personal medical records to a private fax machine. The staff didn't apologize or show concern of this HIPPA violation. They only reason they get patients is because they are the only neurologist in excela. The only good thing is the PA Donna sheets. She takes her time to treat me with care and compassion

Dr. Catalano is an amazing doctor, an amazing neurologist. He saved my husband's life. He was able to diagnosis my husband's rare condition extremely quickly and went above and beyond what any other neurologist had done before him. Thank you Dr. Catalano for studying so hard and in such detail so many obscure conditions. Your explanations are also spot on. Blessings to you sir.
