I wouldn't trust this doctor to pop a zit
When I called to make an appointment, I told the scheduler that I am a former patient of Dr. Lamarche. I was told that Dr. Lamarche had retired. I was asked if I would like to see another doctor. I agreed and I was scheduled to see Dr. Zuckerman. I explained that I was unable to get an appointment with my current cardiologist (due to being on a medical leave of absence) and just needed to get a release to get simple carpal tunnel surgery. I was told that this would be no problem. After he examined me, he developed an attitude problem when he looked at my file. He refused to examine me further because I last saw a different cardiologist. If I walked in to his office complaining of chest pains, would he refuse to help me because I last saw a different doctor? Doctors are supposed to provide medical help to a person REGARDLESS of whether they were previously treated by another physician. Quite Frankly, Dr. Zuckerman is SNOTTY, RUDE, CONDESCENDING, ARROGANT and UNPROFESSIONAL.

I like the fact that Dr. Zukerman has a relaxed manner and makes you feel comfortable. The office makes me feel more like a person, not a patient. Dr. Zukerman is efficient, decisive and knows when to act quickly when an issue arises. I would highly recommend him and the practice.

If you want a doctor who will make quick decisions, give a basic explanation, and have you on your way quickly, Dr. Zukerman may be an acceptable doctor for you. If you want someone who will take time with you, who will give full explanations and allow you to ask further questions, my experience after two visits is that you should definitely look elsewhere.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Zukerman?
With a history of statin intolerence, Dr, Zuckerman prescribed a low dose of the statin, Livalo. After 7 days, I experienced muscle weakness and joint pain; dosing was changed from daily to every other day. The muscle weakness and joint pain worsened and all attempts to contact Dr. Zukerman were uniformly unsuccessful. I stopped treatment and saw my primary care physician who found that my creatine kinase level was elevated. Dr. Zukerman acted irresponsibly and jeopardized my health.
