BEWARE: Bunion surgeries performed by Dr. Lowell Weil at his Des Plaines location left me with a horribly deformed big toe on my right foot (won't even fit inside normal shoes) and severely crooked little toes on my left foot. Both of my feet now need corrective surgeries AGAIN just to fix his botched work. He had his podiatry intern student "team" all crammed right inside the surgical suite during my surgeries, which I NEVER authorized. He insisted upon doing my left & right bunion surgeries separately - "for my own good" he said. I now realize his insistence for 2 separate surgeries was so he could double his surgery fees, double his surgical suite fees, double anesthesia fees, double bill my insurance company and double my OOP costs. Based on his claims to being an "Award Winning" podiatrist, I honestly thought he was the best choice for my foot surgeries, but I was SO wrong. I've never dealt with a more arrogant, insincere, money hungry doctor. STAY AWAY!

BEWARE!!!! Total disaster. Didn’t call to follow up after leaving several messages. Ended up in the hospital for emergency surgery...almost lost my foot & the real surgeon said he has never seen such poor work done. Never was given a post surgery antibiotic and he actually asked my brother right before which foot he was going to operate on b/c he was about to do the wrong foot!!!
