My experience was very good. Dr. Maidan is a wonderful physician. He saved my life a few years ago, and I see his skills and compassion. He has a calming presence, and I have nothing but positive things to say about him. My hope is that when you hire more Physicians for that department, you can clone Dr. Maidan, just kidding, no cloning please. From what I hear, he Is a joy to be around, so yes someone very special.

Dr. Maidan is the perfect brain surgeon.
After having 2 episodes of syncope, Dr. Maidan successfully operated on my brain and removed the aneurysm. I am so grateful for him. He is a genius. I am alive and well.

Dr. Maiden performed surgery for my husband who had a grade 5 aneurysm, he was direct and kind, explained all details, risks, goals, and answered all my questions. After the successful surgery he took the time to explain the surgery and spoke to my family about hereditary risks. With a follow up I actually was able to get an appointment within a week. He is our gift.

1. His knowledge on the best medical procedure for his patient. 2. He takes the time to explain to the patient the what, the how & the why in a very calm, smiling & confident manner. 3. He listens and had eye contact. 4. All these = compassion and connection.

I feel blessed that I was referred to Dr. Maidan. When I arrived at Mercy San Juan the medical staff also advised me I was lucky to be in his care. One reassuring comment was "If I had a child or family member who needed surgery they would want Dr. Maidan". I was diagnosed with a very challenging case but I had full faith in his ability. He was very informative and was successful in repairing my aneurysm's. I would highly recommend Dr. Maidan.
