Favorite Doctor!
I have known Dr Bonomini since 2001 when I needed my first kidney transplant. His kind, compassionate demeanor and superior knowledge in both kidney and pancreas transplants, related surgeries and treatment makes him the most well-rounded doctor I have ever met. Even when I have complications not related directly to my kidney, he always jumps in to steer me in the right direction. He has even visited me in the hospital when I was in there for unrelated illnesses. I cannot say enough good things about him. Anyone with a kidney issue or transplant or with a pancreas transplant should run to him immediately. He used to be in charge of the pancreas transplant area at St Barnabas. When he left, I followed! No one is as good as he and his entire office. Dr. Shah, Dr. Casagrande, and Dr. Kumati are equally knowledgeable, and I never panic if Dr. Bonomini isn’t on call. Whenever his name comes up, the entire staff I have encountered at St Barnabas immediately say how wonderful he is.

Dr. Bonomini is not only interested in the patient but the person. He is compassionate, professional honest and thorough. I was diagnosed with an unrelated illness. He recommended a specialist whose work he valued and he followed my progress through all the way to remission. This Doctor is a wonderful person which is evident when you speak his name to medical colleagues.

Dr. Bonomini is an excellent listener, and he is a kind, compassionate, wonderful human being with superior knowledge in his field. He was my husband's doctor and I could never have gotten through his illness without him. Even though my husband had stage four pancreatic cancer, Dr. Bonomini treated the man that had chronic kidney failure. I am forever grateful and I highly recommend him. If I had a new born that needed a nephrologist, I would only trust Dr. Bonomini.
