Dr. Luis Valls Jr, MD

Dr. Valls is a excellent care provider! He takes time to address all your health care needs!

Worst Doctor ever. He never even looked at my tests. He is aloof and unapologetic about his lack of care and attention. Do not go to this doctor.

I would be remiss to recommend Dr. Valls to anybody. Unless you are, as he believes himself to be, lean, fit, free from anxiety, fortunate enough not to have any neurodevelopment issues, depression, pain, or-God forbid, dry skin, you might just find Dr. Valls to your liking. If, however, empathy is a trait you value, run---don't walk, as fast and far as you can from this man, because if Dr. Valls hasn't experienced or approved of your condition, you'll be sent on your way with nary a nod.

I did not feel as though Dr. Valls was empathetic, in fact I felt as though when relating to him my condition & prescribed meds from my previous doctor that he reacted with suspicion and that I would almost have to prove to him why I wanted or needed to continue on the prescription. I didn't feel as though he would collaborate with me or have my back; I felt uneasy with him, so I won't be going back. On the plus side, his two staffers are very pleasant and nice.

If you are a woman, do not see this doctor. I came in to discuss my issues with frequent urination and he told me to just "find a yeast infection cream." I was not given any particular brand to try or anything, not to mention this absolutely does not treat what I came in for. The worst part of the whole visit was when I heard him loudly repeating my medical records outside of the room, and referred to me as an alcoholic! When I confronted him on this, he denied doing so. Never going back to him.

After we discuss what I've come in for, Dr. Valls sits back, waits a beat, and asks whether there's anything else I'd like to discuss, giving me time to actually remind myself of what that might be, as if he'd got all the time in the world to wait (which I know he doesn't). Also--he takes the time actually discuss things with me; he doesn't just give lip service to respectful interaction between patient and doctor. He actually engages in it.
