You Want the Best Endo, Here He Is
Dr. Lyle Myers is simply the best. He’d still be myEndocrinologist if I had not left the area. He expects his patient to do their part in managing their condition which IMO is not an unreasonable expectation so just do it. He’s looking for progress, not perfection. This man saved my life over 20 yrs. ago. I still follow his directions. Thanks Doc Myers!

Neglectful and condescending.
After St. Joesph Endo closed I sought care for my thyroid issues and T1D with Dr. Myers. After two appointments with Dr. Myers I have decided to seek care from Vanderbilt Endocrinology as Dr. Myers was inconsiderate and in the 20-years I have had diabetes I have never NOT had my endocrinologist check meter or insulin pump settings at each appointment. He CLEARLY doesn’t listen to his patients either as I had questions about any current research being done on GLP-1’s and T1D NOT if it was FDA approved for use in management of T1D. As I can CLEARLY read my insurance formulary I understood it’s only approved for weight loss which was NOT what I was asking him. The question was if any current research was being done and if he thought this would be something helpful in the future. The front desk staff and clinical staff were amazing it’s just unfortunate the doctor they work under has deficiencies in his professionalism and personality.

Dr. Myers is a super doctor! This was my first time seeing him. He explains everything in a way that is understandable, and gives plenty of time to answer any questions. He is very thorough and tells everything he is doing. My wait time was about 15 minutes and he spent a good 30-45 minutes with me. The workers were very nice and ready to help in any way. I highly recommend Dr. Myers.

Getting an appointment took 4 weeks of multiple calls. Never spoke to a person, left several voicemails. They faxed my appointment date to my PCP, never contacted me. The front staff were very nice. They asked for my forms, I told them I never received them. Come to find out they had sent them to the wrong address. Dr. Myers did not have all my lab work from my PCP, although she faxed it twice. He was very short with me. Made me feel like I was wasting his time because my labs were normal due to my mediciation. He did have labs drawn, one came back abnormal, his nurse called to tell me and sent me an order for additional testing. I never heard from Dr. Myers again. He had an automated call contact me to check my messages on patient portal. He had typed a message that everything was normal. No follow up, no anything. I am still having extreme hair loss, fatigue, and weight gain. Apparently he's not interested in helping me figure out why. Very frustrating.

Dr. Myers was rude and condescending. Dr. Myers would not allow you to talk and would constantly interrupt. He presented with an attitude throughout the session. I will never go back to see him again.

Dr. Myers is a wonderful caring physician. He is very observant and at one time I was in his office and I had a cough. He knew right away it was from a medication I was taking and he really at the time didn't have my list of medications. His observation was correct and my family physician immediately changed my prescription. Dr. Myers also got my A1C down to a safe level. He is a wonderful doctor and a wonderful person. I cannot say enough good about him and his staff. (No texting.)
