Three Repairs and Counting
Three rotator cuff repairs. Two on one shoulder. One on the other. (Now you might think that is a negative but turns out I have an unexpected genetic condition that compounded the problem.) Dr. Moore has been outstanding. He has taken the time to talk with me, listen to me, and help me with what is going on. Don’t let his gargantuan personality and jovial attitude fool you; he is enormously intelligent and a talented surgeon. And when, for after care, I have been turned over to his associate, PA Aaron Gillette, I have received the same excellent standard of care. Finally, my experience with his staff has also been nothing short of professional and friendly.

Him yes his front desk staff NO!!!
Called to let Dr know my knee pain has been keeping my BP high. Desk staff that answered told me my knee pain would not be causing high BP. I didn't appreciate the way she talk to me and would like to know where she got her Dr's license!! She needs to read up on this and quit trying to give medical advice and needs to take a course in customer service since she represents the Dr. He is Awesome but front desk is not any good and needs to stick to answering phones and not giving medical advice she knows nothing of.

A wonderful experience
Dr. Moore is always willing to listen and honestly assess the diagnosis. Each encounter with Dr. Moore and his willingness to involve whatever specialist needed are refreshing. Dr. Moore is that doctor whose care brings about a calmness in the patient and confidence that he had my best interest top of mind. His amazing skills and caring interpersonal skills are what we, the patients, are craving in our healthcare professionals. Thank you, Dr. Moore, for your competent, kind care.

1 STAR BECAUSE OF THE ADMIN STAFF! RUDE, UNEMPATETIC, UNCARING! GO ELSEWHERE! So far my experience with Dr. Moore has been good. His PA has also been good. His ADMIN STAFF NOT GOOD AT ALL. THEY ALL NEED TO TAKE A CUSTOMER SERVICE COURSE & LEARN HOW TO TALK WITH PEOPLE & REALIZE THAT THE PEOPLE THEY ARE DEALING WITH ARE IN PAIN! I WISH THEM THE SAME EXPERIENCE THAT THEY GAVE ME! I AM A PARALEGAL SOCIAL WORKER WITH A CASELOAD & I DON'T TREAT PEOPLE THAT WAY! THE DAY AFTER SHOULDER SURGERY, I CALLED TO CHANGE THE POST -OP APPOINTMENT TIME, THE RUDE WOMAN SAID THAT I HAD TO KEEP THE APPT. & IT CAN'T BE CHANGED. I CALLED BACK 2 HOURS LATER, SPOKE WITH ANOTHER LADY, SHE CHANGED THE APPT. TIME. I CALLED THE OFFICE A FEW DAYS AFTER SURGERY BECAUSE OF PAIN ISSUES, A LADY TRANSFER ME TO NURSE LINE, I LEFT A MESSAGE! I CALLED BACK & LEFT 2ND MESSAGE, NO ONE CALL BACK. I ENDED UP IN ER SAME DAY! I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE NURSE TO CALL ME BACK, AND STILL WAITING FOR A CALL BACK! HELLOOOOOO!

Do not go to him. He said I would be playing golf in 6 weeks. minor meniscus tear outpatient surgery. Could not walk afterwards but he wrote on his report that I could. I could not walk into his office , grocery store. or anywhere. His PA sent me to rehab. (he was not available). in rehab the therapist thought I should get a new doctor. The more I worked, the worse it got. Cost me $9000 plus my $9000 deductible. Rather expensive when it did not work. I found out later he is a high volume surgeon. The day he did my surgery he had 2 surgery rooms going at the same time. He left to go hunting immediately after my surgery. He did not check on me. I think his PA probably did the surgery.

Want to brag on the staff a little. Sandra is always there to answer questions and help with anything we may need. Dr. Moore answered on the weekends and after hours all the questions I had. This is huge. My daughter is 4 days out and has only took two pain pills. Very little swelling and no bruising at all. I highly recommend Moore!

Although he isn’t a school doctor doesn’t mean he isn’t good. He did my daughters acl & did a amazing job! He did two other athletes at her school that I sent to him and they both went on to college without any issues. Highly recommend him. Very caring doctor and very good surgeon.

He is a fantastic surgeon, he is the only surgeon I’ve ever had in my 58 years that has come in and talk to me every single time we had a follow up, other surgeons sent in their PA to visit and I never saw them again except for Dr Moore, very polite and personal he gets 10 stars from me. Three weeks after my surgery I couldn’t even tell I had surgery

I have left only one star because there isn't an option to leave negative star ratings. I went to Mac Moore for a Rotator cuff repair. And left with a severed, or as he likes to say, "released" biceps tendon. He is so unprofessional that when he released me from care he wouldn't face me and sent a nurse to hand me discharge paperwork in front of the entire waiting room. He refused to recommend pain management because, his nurse said, "He doesn't believe you have any pain." Find a real doctor.

Mac Moore's level of conceit is appalling. He is so unprofessional that when he released me from care he wouldn't face me and didn't even call me back to ask if I had any other concerns. But, sent a nurse to hand me discharge paperwork in front of the entire waiting room. When I asked her about a recommendation for a pain management program she stated, " The doctor doesn't believe you have any pain. " Yet he kept me under hIs care for almost 9 months when he told me it was a 6 month process.
