MISLEAD
I entered the hospital at MCH through transfer from Pecos Co Memorial Hosputal in Ft Stockton on March 21. It was determined I have a calcified lesion and protruding disc at T12-L1. I was hospitalized for the excruciating pain that this is causing. I didn’t see Dr Nwojo until Sunday night where he explained what was going on and that Medicaid didn’t view this as a medical emergency to need emergency surgery. Dr Nwojo said he needed to see me out patient to try a few things preventative before we try to Get surgery approved through Medicaid. His nurse came by And said the same thing. I was discharged from the hospital on Monday, March 24, 2025. I called March 31 for out pt appt & got denied because they don’t accept Medicaid. Doctor Nwojo was the one that told me to call his office for outpatient care. The dr and staff aren’t on the same page, at all! If they don’t accept Medicaid, he could have said that at the hospital. Why come see me at all??? Feeling VERY MISLED!!!

Friendly & Professional
Dr. Nwojo was friendly and professional from the moment he walked into the exam room and explained what was going on with my back. He went through my options and let me decide what was right for me in my situation. I dealt with acute sciatica for 5 months with 24_7 pain. My pain was finally gone when I woke up from surgery. Thanks, Dr. Nwojo.

Horrible
I needed lumbar surgery, yet never met Dr Nwojo in the office, only his NP Jennifer. I only met Dr Nwojo in surgery holding area. Second time was when I was in the hospital due to getting osteomyelitis from his surgery and had asked for a different doctor because he is terrible. He has zero patients care nor personality. I am now facing other serious medical problems but will never see him again! Horrible experience!

Dr Nwojo and the entire team at Midessa were simply amazing. We went in for a bi-frontal craniotomy for a family member and Dr Nwojo was brilliant and very supportive. He explained the entire process and was very patient with answering our questions. The surgery went very well and the patient is recovering beautifully.

Excellent
I can not be more happy and satisfied with the surgery that Dr. Nwojo performed on me. Was in terrible pain before hand and now do not have any back pain. I had not heard of him prior to being recommended by my GP. In addition, when we check in for pre-op the day before, the hospital staff also commented on how they love working with him. I highly recommend him to anyone.

He did surgery on my back October 2021. Only saw he once before surgery. Won't take calls on weekend after surgery. Tells patient to go to ER or PCP for any problems. His staff is horrible! Won't answer the phone or ever call you back. Just have to go in person to get them to make another appointment to see Dr. He pretty much dismiss you and not concerned about helping you get through problems after back surgery. I needed to see him 6 months after surgery because of same crippling pain. Finally got an appointment. Sure enough tge surgery caused a fracture below what he'd done. Acted unconcerned. Said he could go back in and another surgery. I agreed. Went through all tge pre op like he requested. Waited over a month to get surgery date set up. Made several calls to office asking when the surgery was scheduled. As usual staff very rude and gave me excuse after excuse why it wasn't scheduled. Jumped all over me when I went in person to check. Don't make the mistake of using him.

I am very pleased with the service we received at Midessa Neurosurgery and Complex Spine. Since day one we were treated with professionalism, respect, and kindness. When it came time for my wife’s procedure, the experience was like nothing we ever encountered, starting from the pre-admission process to recovery. The staff at the office and at the hospital went above and beyond our expectations. My wife was adequately taken care of, and the procedure was a success. We were advised of the all the process, pre and post operation with all the recommendations, not only written, but thoroughly explained to us both. As an attorney, I was and am very impressed. As the husband of a patient; I’m very satisfied and grateful. I wish Dr. Macaulay E. Nwojo the best.

My neck and my back
Did a revision surgery on lower back. Woke up in recovery and the pain was gone. This was a year ago and still gone. Went and had cervical spine fusion and was able to go back to work the next day. It’s been 3 months and my left hand is almost 100% again. Professional, pays attention to the small and big details. Staff is amazing. Even with a mask on they greet me by name. So friendly And helpful. I am grateful Dr. Nwojo opened his practice here. No more 5.5 hour trips to get great care.

I was referred to Dr. Nwojo by my PCP 6 months after I had spine surgery with another doctor in Midland for a second opinion because I had zero relief from my back and leg pain. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me to the point I was comfortable. His expertise is exceptional. I never felt rushed by the provider and never felt pressured into surgery. He used my MRI and spine model to explain everything well. 11 months after my failed back surgery, I had a very successful surgery with Dr. Nwojo in Midland. I don’t think you can get any better care than I was given anywhere else. The office staff are exceptionally nice. I am extremely pleased and satisfied with outcome of surgery. I am now 3 months out from surgery, and everything is healing well. Zero leg or back pain. To see where I’m at now makes me feel really good. No pain after surgery.

In late January 2021,I had a massive brain bleed in the left sector of my brain affecting my memory, speech and function that was unexplained with no physical evidence. Macaulay E. Nwojo M.D. and his staff were the conduit needed to by Father God to save my life. With Yehovah's (God of Israel) favor, mercy and grace, within 6 months and two surgeries I was healed 100%. Today, I am fully functional and my faith and belief is even more stronger than before because of this sifting, I was found worthy and I survived. Dr Nwojo and Sheila Shephard were caring, kind, compassionate and generous with their time, knowledge and services. I will always be grateful for what they did for me and how they showered me with Godly love and caring compassion. I won't ever forget them.

My surgery Dr. Nwojo was the only doctor I could find to help. Everyone else said there was nothing wrong. I even found reputable surgeons in Lubbock, but they also said there was nothing wrong. I came in for chronic pain that started September 12th 2020 and didn't see Dr. Nwojo until December 4th. He told me I had Scheuermanns Disease and may need surgery, but we tried everything else before making that decision. He will not recommend surgery unless absolutely necessary. He communicates everything well and is very approachable . Before the surgery I was not able to sit . I had to go on STD because the pain was so bad. There were days I couldn't move without screaming and crying . I'm writing 2-1/2 weeks post op. I can now sit for hours !!! I'm in a lot of pain but not like I was before . I still have along recovery but it's apparent I'll have my life back. Thank you for giving me my life back Dr. Nwojo, I truly appreciate what you do

Best bedside manners I have seen from a doctor, hands down! Very smart but never condescending. I would recommend Dr. Nwojo to anyone that needs a neurosurgeon for a brain or spine condition. Especially when you believe you have a complex condition, his breath of training and experience make him the neurosurgeon you want! I found you when a friend encouraged me to seek a second opinion because I was told I had a problem that could not be operated on. Dr. Nwojo saved my life and I am here today because of him!
