Not a fan
I was looking for a new primary who would truly listen. Instead, I got more of the same thing that I’ve come to (sadly) expect from the medical profession. If you call the clinic as a new patient asking for a WELLNESS VISIT, be aware that #1 - Dr Bixby will not complete preventative care testing until the 2nd visit. This is fine IF you know this in advance and are prepared for JUST a consultation for $400. Don’t waste your time going in when you can do this on the phone. #2 - Do NOT talk about your health HISTORY. She won’t listen anyway and she’ll consider this as a NEW problem. Your chart will be full of incorrect information and when you tell her it’s wrong, she makes no apologies for her shortcomings or mistakes. Instead she’ll wish you well and moves on as if you don’t really matter. Definitely not impressed with her lack of caring. Communication and transparency are desperately lacking.

I have been seeing Dr. Bixby for 3 years now, and I am very happy with her knowledge, empathy, and advice. She is great at listening, and I can tell she really wants what is best for me rather than throwing medication at me. And wants to make sure I'm not just physically healthy, but emotionally and mentally. I would highly recommend her. I'm a 24-year-old woman, and she also is my gynecologist, which is convenient as I trust her.

I went in today with what I was sure was a viral bug. Dr. Bixby is not my primary care physician but she was so professional and empathic with me. I was able to get in the same day I called and she was so kind and listened to me. I didn't feel brushed off or rushed and you could tell she was really present and invested and cared. Ended up not being viral, bacterial (gross) but she was so wonderful. I truly appreciate people like her, people who are genuine and invested.
