Worst experience ever!
I've been an established patient of Dr. Whelan's for the past 2 years. Recently I had tests done and it showed an abnormal parathyroid that required a follow up with Dr. Whelan. The office requested a referral for a new diagnosis from my primary care physician. In a 2 week time span my physician sent 3 referrals to Whelan's office. I called numerous times to get seen, but was always met with an excuse. They claimed they never received a referral and that they were shortstaffed. I'm a cancer survivor so it's critical I get seen for the abnormal tests, but this office doesn't seem to care. I found a new endocrinologist who called me immediately after receiving a referral to set up an appointment. Stay away from this office.

Dr. Whelan is a compassionate, knowledgeable and friendly practitioner. She and RN Gretchen have taken the time and effort to help me control my diabetes, working for years with my specific biology to develop the appropriate and successful regimen I currently enjoy. Dr. Whelan carefully explains my treatment, and listens to my input and questions, providing valuable insight about the nature of diabetes. The care I receive there is second to none. Jim D.
