When first seeing Dr. Islam you might not understand her demeanor and her style but trust me she does care and she is very knowledgeable about caring for your well being. I have been seeing her for a couple of years and through the most difficult time in my life. In the end I realized she was correct about things and she stood by me even though I wasn't listening to her counseling. Really get to know her before making a final decision.

One of the worst doctors I've ever dealt with. She is an uppity condescending rude woman who needs to learn some manners. And her staff was rather unprofessional and incompetent.

She is very insensitive and condescending. She speaks as if you know nothing and does not take into consideration your input. Stay away if you care about your health both mentally and physically.

I find Dr. Islam to be a very caring physician who treats her patients with a care and consideration most physicians reserve for family. She does not patronize. She explains the treatment options in detail taking the time to let you digest the information and is very willing to spend time answering your questions. I am happy to have found a physician who I can call as my friend.

I vehemently believe that if you are seeking a provider who specializes in addiction medicine, look elsewhere. In the office, patients are treated subhuman, like "just another addict." The While in the exam room waiting to be seen, I also overheard Dr. Islam's staff laughing about a patient who they were saying was in the office earlier in the day; they were making jokes about the patient's orientation, who considered themself pansexual, and that they didn't even know what that meant. I believe in compassion for all and genuine human connection when seeking a provider... you won't find it here.
