Definitely not someone I would ever recommend. She minimized anything I told her. I suffer from uterine fibroids and ovarian cysts that were causing pretty constant pain for months at a time. When I mentioned this her response was "no it does not [hurt for months at a time], it only hurts around your cycle." This was obviously untrue and I'm not sure how she thought she knew when I was in pain. When I was pregnant she lacked any empathy. I would worry about my baby's movement and she was dismissive. She checked to see if my baby was in head down position and refused to let me see the ultrasound monitor. She was also obsessed with weight gain; it seemed obsessive and rude most of the time. I gained about 25lbs total but gained a little more than usual from one visit to the next on 2 occasions and she spend several minutes "concerned" and talking about how I needed to be cautious. I had no pregnancy complications. While she spent so much time being cautious about my weight gain, she ignored my debilitating migraines which were made worse by pregnancy and told me there was nothing she could do to help. For days out the month, I would lay in a dark room doing forcing myself to eat and drink. I spent an entire week with a headache once and she refused to help. (Thankfully, a new OBGYN worked with a neurologist to help me and I received some relief). Dr Sharuk was highly disappointing

Dr. Sharuk has been my OBGYN provider for a few years now, supporting me through a LEEP surgery, a very complicated pregnancy, and most recently the birth of my healthy baby boy. From off-hours phone calls, to late night messages, and even re-arranging her schedule - Dr. Sharuk has gone above and beyond to support my physical and mental health. One of her colleagues recently said to me, “She has the biggest heart” - I couldn’t agree more!
