Dr. Maisa Teff, MD

She put someone else's info into my chart, now stuck trying to fix, hopefully her pregnancy goes the same way, she don't care and shouldn't be working medical anything.

Dr. Teff was assigned to my husband as his emergency medicine physician at Beaumont Grosse Pointe. Upon her initial intake, she asked just a few questions and was not at all interested in hearing our questions or concerns. She said she would "order some tests and be back to follow-up." Before even giving us the opportunity to ask which tests she planned to administer, she abruptly walked out of the room. As the nursting staff, who was incredibly thorough and delightful began to run tests, we got alerts from MyChart when results were ready. The only way we ever knew what tests were run or what the results were was a result of my husband and I checking his MyChart. Prior to Maisa ever returning, we received a text message stating "a member of the team will be in to discharge you." We only found out we were being discharged via a text message and still, no one had been in to share the results of the tests she never articulated she had ordered. When she came back in to the room she said "Everything came back fine. You're being discharged." I asked about running some additional tests and she said, "that is not my job. My job. My job is to make sure you don't have something life threatening and I think you don't." I asked if she had any suggestions, follow-up recommendations, etc. She again said "that's not my job, I have nothing for you." As I began to ask another question, in the middle of my sentence, she very rudely, mid-sentence, walked away. I spoke to an amazing charge nurse who provided far more information and recommendations that did Maisa. I would highly suggest if you find yourself in this emergency room, you recommend another doctor. She does not listen, she does not make you feel heard, she is dismissive and rude. If possible, I would give her zero stars.
