Does not care
I've had severe joint and mobility issues for a decade, and I'm only 48. Twice I've had to have extended stretches of PT, most recently after reaching a point where I could not walk or stand for more than 15 minutes. Every night, my shoulder dislocates while I sleep, and my neck is so messed up I have to take a sleeping pill not to wake up from pain. I see a chiropractor weekly, without which I become immobile. My hips crack all day long, my knees give on stairs, and I constantly have to wear hip and wrist braces. I have severe inflammation all over, including periodontal disease. Out of the last 9 months, I've been sick with upper respiratory issues for 3 of them. Exhausted from being constantly sick and in pain, I decided to see a rheumatologist.Absolute worst professional medical experience of my life. Dr. seemed on the verge of rolling his eyes as I tried to explain. Ordered no X-rays, no labs; offered no hypotheses, barely asked questions. Literally told me to take ibuprofen.

Not a great communicator
This provider seemed like he was in a rush. He barely spoke to me, didn't ask me more than a couple of questions, did a very brief exam and then brushed off my concerns. He spent less than 10 minutes face-to-face with me. He had his medical assistant call me after I'd left to order a repeat test and gave her and myself no explanation for it. When I asked about abnormal CRP and sed rate, he said 'we treat the patient not the labs' but this was after he specifically mentioned a different lab value that I needed treatment for. I will not be returning to this provider or recommend him to any of my family or friends.
