Great surgeon
Dr. Bains operated on me nine years ago. He did a fantastic job and saved half of my lung. He is a talented and devoted surgeon and I am grateful that he was my doctor.

A year ago I was extremely lucky to have had Dr. Bains perform my very successful lung surgery. Dr. Bains is a very compassionate and caring person. Just trust in him, his decisions, he really does know what is best.

I do not know where we would be without Dr. Bains and his knowledge in doing everything he can to make sure my husband makes it through this fight. Dr. Bains is undoubtly the best at his job and is very compassionate and caring. Just trust in him, his decisions, and know that he knows what is best. He is truly a gift to us and very thankful to have him.

Dr. Bains saved my life. I had a rare form of esophageal cancer and he and his staff put my mind at ease, not only regarding my diagnosis, but with regard to the quality of life of my future. Though I had to undergo a very invasive surgery to treat it, I had every faith that I was in great hands. I'm a singer and other doctors told me I might have to give up my career. Dr Bains did everything he could to preserve my passion and was successful in doing so. He's straight and to the point.

He treated my wife for a rare Stage 4 lung cancer starting in Feb. 2011 when all other Doctors said they would give her palliative care he told her she was very bad off but if she wanted to fight he would be there with her all the way through and he was. after 3 months of chemo and radiation and then a 10 hour surgery he and his associates at MSKCC saved her life, She is still here today nearly 5 years later. This man is not just a doctor but an actual gift from God. May God bless him always.
