Helped when others could not
He and his staff are knowledgeable and helpful. My child went to 3 other doctors and kept receiving the wrong, hurtful glass prescription. After 1 visit with Dr. Chabra, the prescription was corrected and vision improved.

If you have a special needs child, go elsewhere
Same as other reviewers. No patience with Autistic or special needs kids/teens. Needs training or more knowledge. Got annoyed quickly with my child and then my child felt it and that never helps. Annoying. Why work with all kids if not accommodating

Does not know how to work with autistic people
I called before scheduling my sons appointment because my son is autistic and nonverbal and we love 3hrs away. My son needed to get his next eye exam for his glasses. The lady on the phone told me that this doctor knew how to do this. After we met the doctor he asked me how this was usually done. I asked him how does he usually do this. He recommended we try the hospital to get this done under anesthesia. So we left there without getting his eye exam. What a waste of time and money. I hope my insurance didn't pay anything. I had to call the insurance caseworker to let them know.

The receptionists and nurses were more than friendly and helpful. I was nervous about what I would find out about my eyes, but I felt very safe with everyone. Dr. Chhabra was very knowledgeable and professional; he answered all my questions. I have no reservations now about the necessary surgery.

Waited in the office for 3 hours was seen for less than 5 mins definitely getting a second opinion would not recommend this dr did not explain anything was rushed and did not do a thorough eye exam on my autistic son. Left the office stressed because still don’t know what’s going on with my sons eye it’s like these drs are just handing out eye prescriptions for the hell of it.

First I want to make it clear that I have been praying for my daughters eye. That she would heal from her eye issues to the point she doesn't need treatment , surgery or Doctor visits. I was happy to hear that the Doctor did see what I had. Her eyes were getting better and not going to the side. The patching was 4 hours a day now we can do patching for 2 hours aday. We are to see the Doctor every 4 months not every 3 months. After May because I had already requested off for her appointment. He mentioned that " remember that I said about 5 percent of the patients heal without surgery, well she looks to be in that 5 percent. I Praise G-D and hope it just continues to heal 100 percent. The only thing I didnt like was in the 2nd waiting room a Doctor closed the door. There was one kid walking up/ down, I know it can be difficult with children to keep them still but wished they had masked on or that the lady didn't close door. As much open air that small room can get the better.
