The Doctor is great. But why did they not tell me they were out of network for Tri Care for Life. I kept getting a bill, so finally paid it. Then I look on the Tri Care for Life site and see it was paid. Needless to say,, I changed Doctors, but I still say he was good. I noticed that Tri Care paid that bill before they sent out the past due bill, which I paid. I called the office and I got a refund.

God awful!
I actually never got to see the doctor himself. I saw his PA, AL, and I thought everything went pretty well. He said they would get a game plan and get back to me. Two weeks past and I never heard a word from anyone. I called so many times and no one would answer the phone. I left voicemails. No one returned any of the voicemails. Totally totally incompetent staff! Even the office manager was incompetent. Unfortunately this reflects on the Dr. himself. I would never recommend them to anyone!

Caring but professional
Dr. Ybarra is one of my favorite people as well as physician. He is gentle, listens carefully to what you say and offers decisive solution/s to help alleviate your pain. He has certainly helped with mine. His staff is lovely, friendly and always helpful. It’s nice to know a doctor and staff who care about your well-being. I highly recommend Dr. Ybarra.

Very disappointed
I met Dr Ybarra briefly and was told I’d need an injection to treat neck pain. Scheduled it without a problem for two weeks later. Today I went for this procedure. Medical tech was friendly and polite. I was placed on table face down, face through an opening. Enter Dr Ybarra, (I saw his shoes) not one word was said to me until I awkwardly said “hi” , he then replied “hi”and began procedure. I had to ask what area of spine was being injected because it was much lower than I anticipated. He quickly told me “ mid back”. I am a healthcare professional , I asked him what number specifically and then he muttered “around C6 and T1”. He told me I’d “feel a pinch”did injection and walked out. No instructions on what I may be feeling, aftercare etc. horrible bedside manner and I will not be going back solely for this reason. Office start not very friendly, but expected so much more from the doctor.

Done being whipped
I’ve been a long time patient probably one of his oldest ones and I’ve been very disappointed and disrespected a lot lately. In the beginning he was caring, respectful and worried about my well being. Now I don’t expect to see him, I only get to see his assistant for the past year. His office staff also has the same attitude, rude and disrespectful. I guess they follow the example given. Time to find a doctor that respects his oath of providing the best possible care for his patients and not their money. Find someone else for your sake. (He probably wrote most of his positive reviews to boost his score)

I have seen Dr. Ybarra for years - he has NEVER given up on me. He has treated me for years beyond another pain doctor who gave up on me and wanted me to see a surgeon. I have yet to see a surgeon and have back surgery. Dr. Ybarra is compassionate and has a great personality. Have had injections, nerve ablation and even a back stimulator implant. Thank you, Dr. Y!

Please save yourself from a ton of time and frustration and find a different doctor. This “doctor” is horrible and the staff isn’t much better. It took me weeks to get a hold of someone to even get an appointment and then I arrived for my 8:25 am appointment at 7:55 am, did not get seen by the doctor until 9:00 am and left at 9:30 am. Not to mention the fact that this pain management physician stated that he could not help me. A pain management specialist could not help me manage my chronic pain. I’m speechless.

Dr. Ybarra treated my husband for pain. He called my husband at home to make sure he was ok, when the doctor learned that my husband was not doing good he called everyday to ensure a prompt recovery. He was kind and he has the human caring factor that you look in a doctor. I recommend Dr. Ybarra he is the best.

This guy is all about the money. Even during a pandemic where procedures where cancelled, he was trying to drain you of money you didn't have! He would do a televisit every single time you needed to prescribe a med or change one in my case. I had just been prescribed a med that didn't work and this jerk wanted to keep prescribing crap and when it doesn't work he wants more money! Stay away from him! He never fixes anything. He just bandaids the problem so he can take all of your money! He knows NOTHING about Chiari Malformation! Stay away.

Most compassionate doctor I have met in a long time. I was a new patient today and very nervous about seeing a pain doctor. He explained my issues with my back and helped me make sense of it. He recommended and injection and I am so thankful my insurance allowed me to have it today also. I felt much better after that injection. His staff was also very accommodating and expressed concern for my health after the injection. I would highly recommending Dr. Ybarra.

If you want to be treated worse than cattle, then this is the place to go! The staff is rude and the doctor may or may not even give an appearance. I just had an epidural in my neck. Never even saw the doctor. Was given absolutely no aftercare instructions. Have no clue even what was done. I am furious about the way I was treated. After waiting for an hour I asked if I could go the the restroom before going under, I was told I’d be skipped by other patients and they’d come back to me. Even while checking in they didn’t acknowledge I was there for 40 minutes in a not at all busy office. I’m humiliated for having been treated so poorly. Please save yourself and avoid this office. It’s awful.

I have terrible ciática pain about 2 times per year. Took me 5 days to schedule an appointment as a current patient. During that time I endured the pain as best I could. Finally the day came for my visit expecting to get some relief and all he gave me was steroids and muscle relaxers and nothing for the pain which was dibilitating, can’t stand for more than one minute without serious pain. He had told me he would give me something for pain so I could get through my daily responsibilities. Lied!

After a lot of research trying to find a doctor for my mother suffering from severe postherpetic neuralgia, I chose Dr Ybarra who had decent reviews. I called his office two days in a row and left messages with his nurse. It has been over 2 weeks and no one returned my call. It’s clear this office has no regard for the pain people are going through.
