Dr. Kirschner is an excellent doctor
I take my husband who has been diagnosed with Alzheimers to Dr. Kirschner. He always gives a thorough exam, asks alot of questions, takes alot of time to discuss and explain matters. He is polite and respectful and I feel that he really cares and is trying to do the best for my husband. I have referred friends to him and they have also told me they were very very impressed.

Dr. Kirschner dangerously misdiagnosed me. And the diagnosis was an insult. During a night of great pain in my head, I had a dissection of the carotid in the brain, expanding till it pushed on the nerves serving the left side of my tongue muscle (diagnosis days later by an ENT doctor who got me an MRI immediately). This suddenly caused me to choke easily while eating, and to have a lisp. The left side of the tongue was relaxed and thicker than the right side, which had tone. He diagnosed me as having had this problem for long enough that the right side had atrophied. This was dangerous because it turned out I needed blood thinner to prevent further clotting as a result of the dissection. It was insulting because he did not believe me in multiple ways; 1) the problem was on the left side, not the right side 2) the problem was brand new after a night of pain and did not have time to let any muscle atrophy (right or left) 3) the lisp and difficulty swallowing were brand new

I have been seeing Dr. Kirschner since 2008 for trigeminal neuralgia (TN) and migraines. When I first met him, I misread him as distant but he was able to diagnose my condition by the next week's appointment. At subsequent appointments, it became clear that he is a very caring doctor and a great listener. I would not have been able to survive this painful condition and maintain a normal daily life the past 12 years without his support medically and emotionally. He has fit me into his schedule when I have been hit with an especially difficult flare. I usually go to my appointments alone, but occasionally I take my spouse to my appointments. Dr. Kirschner encourages this as it allows my husband to also have his questions answered and concerns addressed. This has been extremely helpful for our marriage. The staff is amazing and go the extra effort to help me. Wait times can be long, but this is expected from a doctor who is more interested in helping the patient than beating the clock.

I highly recommend Dr. Kirschner, extremely knowledgeable in a complex field of Medicine. Although other reviewers comment about his patient decorum, at least with my health issues I find him extremely knowledgeable, listens for important symptoms that are helpful for diagnosis then takes appropriate action. With limited time, answers questions, provides information adequately. Most importantly, my health issues are expertly addressed.

Not recommended at all! Dr Kirschner is condescending, rude, and looks down on his patients. He’s not interested in your input at all and actually misdiagnosed me dangerously because of it. You will get better care elsewhere!

Dr. Krischner has been working with me on my migraines. He always takes the time to listen to what I have to say and reviews my migraine diary with me each time. He is excellent about discussing options with me and working with me to find an option I'm comfortable with. Overall I've been very happy with him.
