Great patient care

Thank you to Dr. Hinojosa for giving me all the information about different procedures I can get.

The entire process was definitely positive. I was given an earlier appointment and given ample time to call and accept.

Dr and staff is great! Parking little confusing at first appt, but then you learn. Important: GET PHONE SERVICE REPAIRED!! It is such low volume and crackling scrambled noise that you can hardly understand the commands and then everything goes to Call Center, not sure I like that. It took six telephone calls to talk to someone bc I kept getting disconnected. It would be nice to reach Drs office directly and quickly.

Except for a long wait once we got into a room, everything was great. The doctor listened to me and together we came up with a plan of action.

I was very impressed with the doctor and the staff.

The staff, nurses, Intern (Medical student) and doctor made me feel most comfortable and relaxed. All of them were very professional and I appreciate that. Thank you!

My appointment with Dr. Hinojosa went really well. The day I was there seeing him, I was taken in on time. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and put me at ease, and same as the doctor, Dr. Hinojosa ... was very reassuring and I have a lot of confidence in him. And the doctor that was under him, Dr. Lee, as well, I had a lot of confidence in him. I'll be looking forward to my next visit with Dr. Hinojosa and would just be happy to know that I'm in good hands with him. Thank you.

Each visit to UCI Health is always amazing. The staff is always prepared for the visit and knowledgeable about my own situation when they arrive in the room, it's like they know me personally! Dr Hinojosa displays great confidence and put me at great ease about my upcoming surgery. I would recommend UCI Health to anyone.

All my experiences at UCI have been great. It is still difficult to navigate the campus. Do you have an app that is a map to the difference garages in Orange and the different office buildings?

Long waiting time of over an hour

Both the resident and Dr. Hinojosa answered all my questions and were very informative. I would definitely recommend them. Thank you.

My appointment began with a charming, patient and skilled Resident, Abby. Abby took an extensive history prior to a short visit with 'attending' doctor, Dr. Hinojose. Both Abby and Dr. Hinojosa explained visit focus and options available in clear terms. He & I were both in agreement as to conservative approach and next steps.

I love you are so nice and helpful it's been a long road but we're finally coming to a conclusion which I'm very happy about and you've all been very patient with me and I really appreciate you all and your expertise God bless you and happy holidays

The nutritionist no suggestions of adjusting my diet saying she would post in my chart but I don't see the information. Just confused?

The surgical team demonstrated excellence leading up to and during the surgery. However, the post-surgery experience was disappointing. The doctor didn't provide an overview of how the procedure went afterward. The recovery room was cramped, and the nurses' behavior was unsatisfactory as they complained about being there loudly all night. They neglected to encourage walking to prevent blood clots and were unresponsive to requests, such as using the leg pumps, questioning why I wanted them back on. Plus, they kept using a broken machine for my blood pressure even though they knew it was broken and there was a working mobile one available in the hallway. The morning of release, they didnt fully monitor or listen to my concerns about pain. It just seemed like they wanted me out of the facility as soon as possible. On the morning of my release, they didn't properly monitor or address my pain concerns. It felt like they were rushing to get me out of the facility quickly. I'd recommend the surgeon team, but I wouldn't recommend the facility or the aftercare team.

I had just came from another UCI appt after receiving "bad" medical news & driving across town thru major traffic, arrived on time, and then forced to wait nearly two hours for the doctor wo any notice of the long wait, and didn't have any way to "process" the "bad news" I had received at my previous appt that may require surgery, and now was faced with uncaring staff at this GI center. I had not encountered this before at this GI center, but I have at other UCI health facilities over the last year.
