I'm 49, Dr Romanowski did a total knee replacement in 2021. He referred me to another orthopedic surgeon in 2023 when I needed another knee replacement in my other knee. In follow up scan I told the new Doctor the knee he did felt great but the the one Dr. Romanowski did hurt badly. He did a scan and it showed he had placed the hardware crooked. Therefore I needed a revision 3 years later! Thankful I went to that new doctor I never felt better. The office apologized to me for the longer than usual wait but they were fitting in 14 of Dr. Romanowski's 'screw ups' that day.

Hip Replacement Surgery
I contacted Dr. Romanowski for a second opinion after another practice scheduled me with one of their surgeons to discuss a possible hip replacement.From my first appointment to pre-op and post-op care the Romanowski Team was the best! ALL staff members were very professional yet friendly and caring throughout my entire surgery experience. There is such an upbeat, positive attitude in this office. Appointment wait time was minimal. My questions were either answered right away or someone got back to me ASAP. One day Dr. Marc called me himself with an answer!Every step from my first appointment to final post-op visit was organized, informational and reassuring not only for me but for my family as well.I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a consultation regarding hip or knee issues.

knee replacement surgery
From first visit to post operative care, a well coordinated excellent team practice! Dr. Marcus is exceptional in his expertise and together with his wife Dr. Cindy, provide a comprehensive surgical program with much detail to patient education. An informative class is recommended pre op, given by Dr. Cindy. A thorough overview of your either knee or hip replacement ( I have had both) is presented. This includes preparing your home for recovery focusing on fall prevention safety, exercises to start you on your way, and a well organized power point show to reinforce areas of importance. The office associates are in my opinion a very dedicated group and each person so helpful! Dr. Marcus is definitely an outstanding orthopedic surgeon with much experience and I personally highly encourage anyone facing orthopedic hip or knee issues to make an appointment and discuss options with the best !

Couldn’t ask for a better experience!
I went to Dr. Marcus Romanowski for a complete knee replacement due to bone on bone arthritis. I had gone through the protocol required, prior to surgery: physical therapy, cortisone injections and gel shots. Eventually the handwriting was on the wall; it was time for surgery I can only say that Dr. Romanowski’s team gives you all the tools to make this procedure effective and life changing, if you as the patient, follow the guidelines and tips that they give you. From the very informative pre-surgical orientation, led by Dr. Cindy Romanowski,to the 2 weeks of in home physical therapy, this surgery was an A plus experience for me. I was using a cane within 5 days, quickly lost the cane and transitioned to walking on my own. I was back to work in one month following my surgery. Dr. Marc is a very kind and incredibly skilled surgeon who has changed my life!  I, no longer have any pain in that knee. His entire staff is friendly, and very willing to help through the entire process.

I called Dr. Romanowski‘s office to get information as how to pay a bill. I spoke to Becky and she was extremely helpful and helped me do it while I was on the phone. She was very efficient and we solved the problem right away. Just wanted to say as always I’m very pleased with everyone at the doctors office. I also just recently had a knee injection from Allison, the PA and she is was very professional and she talk to me through the procedure. Thanks again for your continual care.

Amazing
The Romanowski team is absolutely amazing! Dr. Marcus and Dr. Cindy are the most personable doctors I’ve ever met. The knee replacement went exactly as we were taught at the class.

I had my hip replaced 7 years ago. At 70 years old my joints are wearing down. But my replaced hip is the most amazing joint in my body!!! Thanks Dr. Romanowski! I'll probably be back soon for another amazing replacement of the other hip soon. By the way I'm still doing my exercises every day. A must for true success.

Great Dr and office personnel
The pre surgery class is so informative.Both Dr Marcus and Dr Cindy were so kind and seem to be so willing to answer to any and all of our questions.I had Lots of drug reaction problems and whenever we called the office Bianca would either address them right away or would always get back to us asap. The therapist we had was Ben Rich and we were so sad to see him go- he was a delight in every way.I have nothing but praise for the whole practice-I would highly recommend them.

Best Total Care
Have had both hips done and my Dad has had one done. Spectacular job! Healing was way faster for me (and my 88 year old dad) than anyone else I know from another surgeon. Total care from all pre-op procedures to post-op care and physical therapy. I can't recommend Dr. Romanowski and his staff enough. You can't do better in western NY! Fantastic service and caring doctor, physician's assistants and staff. If you need a hip (or knee), please take the time for a consultation.

Money
He is driven by money not the patient well being. He operated on my daughter despite of being told she has Parkinson’s and falls a lot. After surgery she fell and the knee got infected.

Incredible !!!
As a registered nurse, I am very in tune with healthcare providers and their quality. There is currently so much disruption in healthcare that it’s hard to find a provider that’s skilled, kind, and always is available to his patients. My mother had her second knee surgery with Dr. Romanoski and I just cannot say enough about him, The staff and the process they use both preoperatively and postoperatively is exceptional. ECMC was a wonderful experience and I can not say enough about the care I received there. Upon arrival home were greeted by a very skilled kind physical therapist that works with Dr Romanowski and within two weeks she was on her way. I would highly recommend him- it truly doesn’t get any better than that!

Right total hip replacement by Dr Romanowski
Dr Romanowski and the staff are amazing! Appointments were scheduled easily and it is an efficiently run office. Staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. R reviewed X-rays and was able to explain and answer all of my questions regarding surgery. All blood work for surgery was done in the office. A preoperative class was offered by Dr Cindy Romanowski and you were given a folder of step by step information and a time line of what to expect prior and post operatively. All necessary appointments for clearance prior to surgery were made by the office. This was extremely helpful to have everything so organized. The Surgery staff at ECMC was wonderful. The staff worked well together for the benefit of the patient. After surgery, I was up walking with the help of a Physical therapist. Nick, the PT met me at home and had me walking. We met 3xweek for 2 weeks and by then I was walking without a cane. He was kind , encouraging and home therapy is a plus. I am pain free!! Thanks Dr. R!!

Topnotch experience
Topnotch experience for total knee replacement. Went home the same day (within 4 hours) and PT met me at the door. Came to my house for therapy every other day. Every day brought improvement. Pain control was very good. Highly recommend.

Dr. Marcus Romanowski is an excellent surgeon who replaced both my left and right knees. I now have two strong, straight legs and full mobility! Dr. Cindy Romanowski's very informative pre and post surgery instructions on procedures and protocols are also excellent - every detail has been thought out and fine tuned to assist the patient through surgery and their recovery. From the first appointment to the last post surgery follow-up, the doctors, the entire staff (both office staff and ECMC orthopedic staff), and my physical therapist (Joanna) were beyond wonderful and have my highest recommendation and gratitude for their always kind and professional care!

Why did I wait?
Let me start by saying Dr. Marcus and Dr. Cindy Romanowski as well as every staff member I encountered at their office was top notch! Having an injury that changes your lifestyle really hits you hard and the Doctors had such empathy and compassion on what I was going through! I chose to put off the knee replacement hoping other options would work for me, and did for a while but Unfortunately that was only temporary. I had no choice but to schedule the knee replacement as it affected every part of my life and started walking bow-legged. The day of my knee replacement I was walking better than I had for over a year and leg perfectly straight! They have a team of Physical Therapists who come to your home the day after surgery and follow you through your recovery. Im so happy and blessed that I chose Dr. Romanowski !

Great Experience
I have nothing but great things to say about my experience with Dr Romanowski. He was kind and informative, taking time to make sure that all of my questions were answered and that I felt reassured. Every step of the process was organized and informative and 6 weeks after my total hip replacement, I am feeling good and preparing to return to work soon.

I recently had a total knee replacement done by Dr Romanowski at ECMC Outpatient Clinic & the staff there was awesome! Had my second knee replaced and, just like my first knee, everything went well with a quick recovery. Dr. Romanowski and his staff are experts in their field and make you feel comfortable with the care and your surgery to get you back to full health. I went from experiencing bad knee pain before surgery, to minimal pain recovering from surgery, to no pain and full mobility now. I would highly recommend them to everyone.
