Believe the bad reviews!
I’ve never had such a terrible experience. She was so rude and condescending. Refused to listen to any questions or comments and spoke over me, with complete disregard of my feelings. Rude, disrespectful, no bedside manner. I’ve never had a doctor roll her eyes. Unacceptable.

One of the best doctor’s I’ve had
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Fruhbauer and I only have positive experiences. The doctor is patient, knowledgeable and friendly. And she listens. Minimal waiting time. I could not ask for more.

Recommended by NCH I have no understanding why!
Most of the information you are seeing is correct from the reviews below, she is just a cold attitude doctor. My previous primary was amazing from demeanor(personality) to direction of care, Dr. Fruhbauer is the polar opposite. I only managed two visits with her one being an intro to update a prescription and then my last visit for a yearly. The last visit made it very clear to me I need to start my search over again. As stated in other reviews she simply does not care to hear what you have to say, even if it is basic conversation. I have no idea how she made it into NCH with the amazing care I have had with them but, Dr Fruhbauer is not the doctor for me and maybe you as well.

The Worst of the Worst
Dr. Fruhbauer is a cold, heartless, rude, and incompetent doctor. She over prescribes medication to cover her a$$. She doesn’t listen, other than to things she wants to hear and then latches on and criticizes you for admitting something about your health concern. She is only worried about checking off her list so that she isn’t liable for anything due to her extremely poor patient care. She left Advocate Aurora and is now at NCH. God help them! Please reconsider doctors if you are thinking about going to her or are currently going to her. She will make your problems 10x worse.

She’s thorough, professional, and kind
I needed a physical for our work wellness program, and Dr. Fruhbauer had availability. I really, really liked her. She’s soft-spoken, listened carefully, answered my questions thoroughly, and did a very thorough exam. I was surprised, because She also told me what she was finding at each point in the exam. I had read some earlier reviews, and I went in thinking she would simply be doing this physical for work. Meeting her and experiencing her as a doctor changed my mind. I left the office knowing that I had found my primary care doc. Thanks, Dr. F!

Beyond horrible I have had for 6 years . She doesn’t call back or take appointments. She is a stone cold doctor. She doesn’t care . If I could give zero stars I would. She won’t give medication without an appointment but won’t see me. I’m so done with her! I have Covid and can’t get a call back. Don’t waste your time with her.

If I could give this doctor a zero rating, I would. My mother has seen this doctor in the past, however, she does not go to the doctor often. When my mother was in need of assistance, she called Dr. Fruhbauer and they said they would call back and they never did. My mother ended up having to go to urgent care and another visit to the ER. When she called to get a script for a urinalysis due to urgent issues she was having, Fruhbauer declined her request and said she would not write a script for a patient she has not seen within the year. And she would not see my mother until February. This is HORRIBLE patient care! Her practice is also very poor in that they denied ever receiving a message from us requesting a phone call back. I can not recommend this doctor or her practice.

I was referred to Dr. Fruhbauer when my physician retired. I agree with the other reviewers about her robotic nature, working from a checklist, and horrible bedside manner. I must say it is a little comforting to hear that others had the same impression of her. I thought maybe I had done something to offend her.

Dr. Fruhbauer has been my primary care physician for years now. She is the consummate professional practicing with a holistic approach, which for me is the only way to go. Being the medical director of Internal Medicine, she is a very busy doctor, but always takes the time to investigate thoroughly. She will not hesitate to refer to specialists, if that need be. Just be able to describe exactly why you are there; remember she is tightly scheduled, but ready to treat you with dedication.

I went to see Dr. Fruhbauer for an annual physical. I have never experienced a physician as rude and cold as she was. She grilled me regarding what I specifically eat and how active I am. I am normal in my weight, exercise daily and have excellent labs. She minimized 10,000 steps a day as regular walking around that anyone is supposed to do. I stood up and asked her specifically about a report detail and she told me to go back and sit down as she had the same information on her laptop.

Was very knowledgable but everything seemed like a script. Did not care to talk with me just at me. she also couldnt care less about what i had to say about specific prescriptions and the affect on me. Seemed like she had her mind made up from reading my file before even talking with me. Over all left feeling terrible with no help at all

I saw Dr. Fruhbauer as a 'new patient' while experiencing some pretty serious health concerns. She was patient, thorough, and explained things in a way that I found very easy to understand. I appreciate the fact that it seemed like she truly cared and was actually interested in listening to what I told her, then took time to make a plan to hopefully get my issues diagnosed & treated.
