Excellent Internal Physician
Dr. Meg Tebbs is a caring, responsive, and thorough professional. I have been seeing her for annual exams for several years and appreciate the effort she makes to question my health status and provide advice on how to improve any condition she finds below par. She does not rush you through the exam and is alert to your medical history.

Not a health educator
Her communication style is abrupt and authoritative. She does not seem to feel the need to educate or explain and if you ask questions or share alternate information she dismisses it without meaningful engagement or explanation. Impatient. Maybe this is a reflection on how her health care organization schedules her appointments and not how she would like to interact with patients. I want a doctor who partners with me in cultivating better health and a longer wellspan with shared decision making and education. I have no idea of Dr. Tebbs' priorities as her patient over the past few years and, in my view, that's a problem.

Paranoid, neglectful, and cruel
I’ve had a failed neck surgery validated by the Washington Medical Commission, as well as a botched CT with myelogram performed by the UW that led to a CSF leak and a blood patch with degenerative spinal changes as a result. Before I even met Tebbs for the first time, she decided to take me off of oxycodone that my previous providers had planned on keeping me on for life. She didn’t write me a bridge prescription between appointments like all other providers do at the UW; I went into withdrawal and had severe convulsions during a medical crisis in which I was often seizing in agony in the ER, and refused to answer questions as to how I could deal with the pain and discomfort. She decided before meeting me and evaluating my medical condition that I deserved no pain care, and refused to elaborate as to any other pain care I could receive. She showed no concern, provided worse than no help at all, and actively made my condition worse.
