Dr. Margarita Gelpi, MD

I went to Dr. Gelpi & Dr. Gutierrez office on 1/30/2020 with abd/pelvic pain, the staff is unprofessional, both MA's fighting who is going to draw my blood really???? In the room I have to wait so much time to be seen by Dr. Gutierrez and at the end the Front desk named Linda, charge me $180.00 as self pay, when I have insurance and my co-pay is $65.00, I paid in that moment because I had so much pain that I did not have time to argument with the lady on front desk, now the billing company already processed my claim and guess what?? My responsibility to paid is $65.00, I call then and I send it by fax the claim and statements showing my copay responsibility and I requested my refund back ASAP for $115.00, Linda told me I have to talk with the Dr and I call you back, this office needs a front desk, billing training. Is the worst experience as a patient and I'm a Medical Biller for 10 years and I know i am right. Please do not go to this office before you confirm your insurances benefit

The office is old and cluttered and smells. The doctor was the WORST Dr and WORST woman I have ever encountered. She had 0 empathy. She made it seem like I didn't know my body and accused me of having an operation that I think I would know I had. Basically calling me a liar. She was so argumentative. When I told her that this experiment was very odd and I asked her to leave the room so I could get dressed she kept arguing with me and being a complete b1tch.. I literally was shaking.

Not kind nor friendly. Horrible energy. Nasty old lady. Please remove her license.

Dr.Gelpi treated me like I didn't know anything about my own sexual health and insulted my appearance in reference to a treatment I wanted.

This is the worst Doctor ever. Provided Doctor with hospital report & the report was not read. She continued to ask questions that were provided on the report. Never visiting this office again. Not even in an emergency.
