Dr. Maria Ellis, MD

Dr ellis delivered my first child. She handled a difficult delivery and emergency C-section expertly and compassionately. Her prenatal and postnatal care were what sold me on her to begin with. Just scheduled my daughter for her first exam and am confident it will be a positive experience.

Dr. Ellis is truly a gifted and talented doctor with pleasant bedside manners! A unicorn. I go to see her for my annual women's wellness visits. As she is performing the exam, we talk, and before I know it the exam is done and I am good for another year. I wished more doctors were like her.

Horrible experience. In-patient procedure with Dr. Ellis which was a half hour "quick" colposcopy was billed as a surgery and I got a huge bill afterwards, which I ended up having to finance. The worst part -the results were "inconclusive." The doctor offered to have another couple of doctors give a second set of eyes. And after doing that, those results were "inconclusive" too. But I got hit with a $350 bill for those second set of eyes. This wasn't billed through my insurance and was substantially more than what I was told so I reached out to the office. Spoke with Karen who said she'd resubmit through insurance. Two months later I hadn't heard anything so I figured maybe they were able to take care of it. Or it was still in the works. I checked the mail today to find that the $350 bill was sent to collections and now I'd be taking a hit on my credit. When I called the office Karen could care less. She was practically silent on the other line. Said she'd get back to me with an update by the end of the day. No surprise, she never did. In our last correspondences I specifically said, "I am in fear now to even come back to your office for what extra costs I'm going to incur with zero progress or insight into the state of my health." No acknowledgement on this concern whatsoever. I will be searching for a new OBGYN office for my next annual. UPDATE: The same day I called their office to question the bill that went to collections they sent a "patient discharge letter" from their office which arrived Saturday to say that I am no longer a patient and that they would be sending the outstanding bill to collections. They clearly had already sent this bill to collections, hence the need for my call this week. Gaslighting patients... it's unbelievable. I have paper records and voicemail correspondences from every last interaction. And I am so tempted to report their misconduct. But instead, I will just warn other local women, this is a situation to be avoided. This office just does not care about their patients. I will happily find another practice who does and hope all of you do as well.

I find Dr. Ellis to be thorough as well as having a wonderful bedside manner. I have been seen by a number of gynecologist over the last 45 years and find her to be one of the best!

Finding a good gynecologist can feel like finding a unicorn: mythical, magical, and capable of making you feel comfortable in the most uncomfortable situations. But fear not, ladies! Dr. Ellis isn't just a figment of our collective desire for a stellar doc; she's the real deal, and I'm here to sing her praises from the rooftops (or, more appropriately, the waiting room). First things first, Dr. Ellis listens. Like, really listens. She doesn't rush through appointments, scribbling notes while you're mid-sentence. She makes eye contact, asks clarifying questions, and genuinely seems interested in what you have to say. Whether it's a niggling concern about hormonal changes or a full-blown medical mystery, she gives your words the weight they deserve. Dr. Ellis genuinely cares about the well-being of her patients, at all ages and stages of life. Whether you're a teenager navigating the confusing world of periods, a woman in the throes of perimenopause, she treats you with respect. 20/10

Dr. Ellis took the time to learn about my history and address all of my concerns. She was genuine and caring- and also has great bedside manner. Her medical asst was great too, and there wasn’t much of a wait which is always a plus. I never leave reviews but felt compelled to do so for Dr. Ellis.

I lucked out when I chose Dr. Ellis to be my OBGYN. She has always provided objective advice with zero judgement. Highly professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. She’s also great for younger patients who are nervous. Wonderful doctor.

Dr. Ellis is the best gynecologists that I have ever had! She is so friendly and caring with all your needs and concern. She listens and answers every question you have. She is also mindful during your exam and is very quick with it. She doesn’t rush you during your appointment though. Highly recommend her!!

Dr. Ellis listens to you and asks questions with kindness, compassion and professionalism. She doesn’t make me feel rushed and explains everything clearly. I completely trust her. Her quality of care is outstanding and I would highly recommend her. In addition, I’ve always found her staff to be friendly and welcoming.

Dr. Ellis is kind, empathetic and attentive.

No one loves these annual check-ups but Dr. Ellis makes it a lot less unpleasant. She covers all the questions and follow-ups are seen to. She has a calm, kind presence that puts me at ease. Always takes the time to listen and answer my questions and truly seems to care. Great staff too!
