Dr. Halvorson is so intelligent and has a vast knowledge of conditions that makes her able to treat the whole person. I was so impressed and so grateful to establish care with a doctor I can trust, who has my back, and who recommends what I need. It’s very rare to find a doctor that understands eating disorder’s complexity, but she does and is determined to get me the help I need.

Maria Halvorson brings the indifference, the cold, brusque tone and mercenary approach of a large-city doctor to the small town of Ojai. Her lack of follow-through regarding life-changing medical issues is remarkable. This striking lack of concern courses through nursing and administrative staff. I've received more personal care and interest form the doc-on-call at Ojai Emergency. If you prefer being treated as a customer rather than as a patient, I highly recommend her.

Not only is Maria an outstanding professional, she also has the gift of creating a warm. comfortable environment for her patients. She greets with a smile, gives 100% of her attention to visits and has never failed to come through for me no matter if I'm in Ojai or across the world traveling. My boyfriend is a patient of a well renowned teaching hospital in another state and he does not get the same attention and quick response that Maria gives to health issues. Outstanding physician!
