Dr. Maria Saketos, MD

Incompetent. I never give bad reviews but this is my honest opinion. Don't waste your time and money with this doctor. She is very disorganized and incompetent. I felt like I was more knowledgeable than her because I always do my homework before and after a doctors visit. We realized either she has no idea what she is doing or she is purposely withholding crucial information. She is incapable of answering questions and concerns. She only pushes IVF regardless of your situation and other variables. I did not feel like I can trust her. At times we felt like she was hiding important information on purpose.

She was late and made a of the stuff stressed out. The retrieval was rushed because of that. Right before the procedure I found out that they missed signing me up for a clinical trial that I hoped for. She was borderline rude about it and the only staff member that did not say “i am sorry about it” making me feel like I should be the one to stay on top of the million consent forms required. It was also the only of my retrieval where I had discomfort in my left ovary right after the procedure. Unfortunately the place does not provide you a choice which provider will do it. I would not want to go to her again, all other providers that I saw in the practice were pretty good.

I will always pray for Dr. Saketos and her family. I owe her my now already 14 year old twins son and daughter. after my children were born I recommended her to my close friend who was battling infertility on and off for 9 years, thanks to Dr. Maria's help my friend has a beautiful 12 year old daughter now. as a matter of fact, all the doctors I met in the clinic at that time, like Dr. Sang and Dr. Bray were just awesome: very educated, professional and compassionate

The wait times are horrible. I waited 3 hours for an IUI procedure at which point I was so upset and anxious, I'm sure this is the reason it was unsuccessful. I feel that vulnerable patients are being taken advantage of and treated like cattle. After my second IUI I again waited hours for a methotrexate shot for my ectopic pregnancy, all the while being skipped over by very pregnant women. A very insensitive environment.

She never retrieves the amount of eggs that I go in with. There's always an excuse that there was no egg in a follicle or it was a cyst. She missed 30 % of my follicles. Another time she missed 10 %. Every other doctor there has retrieved 100% every time. I've had six retrievals; so if you ask me it's not a coincidence.
