Not friendly
Why would you become a doctor if you aren’t going to care about and care for people? This is BY FAR the rudest doctor I have ever seen. She raised her voice at me, rolled her eyes when I told her my thoughts and she slammed the door when leaving the room. She responded to another medical agency I use via fax and I was able to see her response. It was very mean and unprofessional. I prefer to interact with kinder and more mature people, so I WON’T be seeing her again. I saw her in Bemidji, MN at the Sanford Clinic.

Dr. Statton has been my doctor since 1995, and I would have no other. She is not a warm and fuzzy type person and has a very dry sense of humor. But she's been great for me by being honest and straightforward. She answers my questions or says if she doesn't know, she will find out. I remember her apologizing to me once for a wait of around 20 minutes when usually it's about 5 minutes. I also remember crying in her office and she was very understanding. Her staff has always been friendly and seemed very competent and caring. I don't know why she has some poor reviews; maybe people expect a doctor who oozes a coddling attitude. She is not that kind of person, but is an excellent doctor. She has seen me through the good and bad, and I trust her completely. A couple of my friends see her and feel the same as I do.

My provider was unavailable for 2 weeks and I had an issue that needed addressing. I saw Dr. Statton instead and regret this decision. She spent about 5 minutes with me. She was very disengaged, cold, and I felt quite uncomfortable with this physician. My issue was not resolved and I left feeling upset and dismissed. In the future, I will wait, no matter how long, to see my regular provider.

I don't no what's up with these negative reviews. People like to complain, I guess. Dr. Statton does a great job, especially considering all the people she has to see in a day.

she came into my appointment not having a clue why she was seeing me. she spent the first 5 minutes reading about my hospital visit prior. she stared at the computer the whole time. she was very rude and didn’t ask me any questions about my symptoms. she did not give me any advice on how to control my asthma. It felt like she didn’t care about my well-being. she was also extremely rushed.

If you want warm & fuzzy, Dr. Statton may not be right for you. However, she's a good listener who does care about patients. I never felt rushed during my two visits and I appreciated her even-keeled disposition at a time when I was highly stressed. Years later, I bumped into Dr. Statton at an airport and she congratulated me on a recent cancer-free scan. I was shocked she remembered me by face and that she was still following my case. Who needs perky when you can have competent & caring?

I wish I would have waited to seen a different doctor. She was absolutely terrible. She was rude and very rushed. She somewhat listened to my concerns, but did she treat them? No. Absolutely not. She is very by the book and if you are looking for any sort of out of the box thinking from your doctor, she is definitely not it. I would never go to her again. I left her office in tears and with no resolution to my problems. Just a huge medical bill with no solutions.
