Dr. Mariana De Jongh-Beyer, MD

I had a great gastroenterologist before I moved here. I went through several doctors here and felt like I was treated like cattle. Herds of people in the waiting room... Herds of people on operating day... Not so with Dr De Jongh-Beyer. I didn't wait for the screening visit; Right in. Colonoscpy went smoothly and right on time.

My sister was grossly mistreated for the wrong medical issue. My sister had an anal tumor and NOT a hemorrhoid. Dr De Jongh banded the tumor like it was a hemorrhoid. My sister was in terrible pain and bleeding after this occurred and when she called the office with her medical complaints they disregarded her and made her wait 2 more weeks to see the doctor. My sister was bleeding and in pain everyday until the re-visit was granted by the very RUDE receptionist. When my sister was finally seen again by Dr De Jongh realized her gross error in banding a cancerous tumor. Dr De Jongh said, ' How did I miss this?' In addition, my sister had a colonoscopy 6 months before this medical fiasco and the tumor was missed.

I had hemorrhoid banding on August 22, 2023, at 1:40 p.m. Shortly after, the banding fell off, leaving me in extreme pain and excessive bleeding. I was not new to hemorrhoid banding, having this done to me twice in ten years. Yes, sometimes the patient will experience some bleeding, but that was not my concern--it was the pain! Before the procedure, I did not have any external hemorrhoids--now I do. My pain level goes from five to eight at times. I needed my doctor to have a look at the problem but was refused. after many pleas for help, my doctor's assistant told me that they were going to drop me as a patient and refer me to another doctor outside of their service. Now, at the time of this writing, September 2, 2023, I still have the pain and waiting for the referral doctor to call me. My advice to anyone considering this practice is to think twice because problems can occur and you will be faced with looking for a reputable doctor who cares about his or her patients.

Have had 3 procedures done by Dr. De Jongh and all besides the prep have been pleasant experiences with a well trained staff and convenient location

I have been seeing Dr. deJong for about 10 years for colonoscopy’s and about 4 years for my Interstim device. She and her nurse, Erika, are very professional, understanding, pleasant and knowledgeable. I never feel rushed, they listen to my issues and I always get in to see them within within a few minutes of my appointment time. I have, and will continue to, highly recommend Dr. deJong.

It was recommended by my last gastroenterologist that I have my next colonoscopy in 5 years. After moving here it was recommended that Dr. De Jongh-Beyer was the best gastroenterologist around to preformed this procedure. She preformed this procedure on me recently. Very professionaly with a great bedside manner. Additionally, here staff from scheduling to discharge was exceptional and very patient oriented answering all my questions and concerns. Followup calls and procedure result reports were made in a timely manner as promised.

Dr. De Jongh did a colonoscopy for me last year, and I would highly recommend her. Right after the procedure, she met with me to explain the results and answer my questions

I just moved to Florida from NJ and thought my doctor there was good, but Dr. De Jongh is terrific. Not only did she spend a great deal of time with my wife and I answering questions and discussing my case, but also her medical skills are excellent, and so is her staff--all friendly and helpful. I was truly impressed with her medical expertise and pleasant personality. I am a bit of a hypochondriac, so I'm not easy to deal with. But again, she was excellent.

I have tried to become a patient, however, due to I have seen another gastroenterologist and am "established with another physician", I cannot get an appointment. I had been to another physician, who referred me to UFH for a procedure. Since, he is no longer in the practice and working in a hospital (according to the staff in the office he previously worked). Urgent Care referred me to another physician within this practice (which I did not realize). Two calls with no response.

Dr. De Jongh performed an endoscopy and colonoscopy on me. Everything went very well, and I had no uncomfortable after-effects. I found her to be a pleasant person who was easy to speak with and who obviously had extensive skills and experience. I certainly plan to contact her in the future if I need a gastroenterologist and when I need my next procedures. I recommend her to anyone needing this type of specialty care.
