Dr. Mariellen Rodman, MD

I saw this doctor after being seen in the ER last week after a 911 call, this was what I thought was an emergency room follow up visit. A little over a year ago I had a cervical laminoplasty that I am in continued treatment for in addition to severe lumbar ridiculopathy and sciatica. I am in excruciating pain. She ordered a pregnancy test, a drug test, she did not physically look at any part of my body let alone do anything else, and she was incredibly rude and invalidating on top of it. The utter lack of bedside manner was horrific. I’ve never had an appointment quite like this one. I was in actual disbelief after this appointment. She was not willing to address any concerns related to what I had been hospitalized for the week prior…my spine, not my pregnancy status (what!!??)…despite the ER trip being being the only reason that I was there in the first place. My husband was with me and was similarly horrified by our encounter with her. I left there feeling traumatized. I know that with certain insurance, it can be very difficult to get doctors quickly or in general, which is how I ended up with her in the first place. However, it might be worth doing the extra work to find one who is willing to address medical concerns. Especially serious ones. Maybe she’s fine for someone who just needs an annual physical or something although I’m not confident I’d even say that. For any actual medical conditions or concerns, I would strongly encourage you to consider other medical providers. This review is one star because of the responsiveness of her nurses and the kindness of her office staff; and for what it’s worth, this traumatizing follow-up appointment was scheduled very quickly so there’s that. And her nurses are fantastic, THEY are all very kind. I would have given zero stars if I could have, steer clear of this provider.

Have seen Dr. Rodman twice as the on call Dr. I’m so thankful I was able to see her. Took care of referrals immediately was very personable. Listened to my concerns and got me the care I needed immediately. Highly recommend her.

Doesn't listen. Enters incorrect information into my chart that is there forever because she refuses to own a mistake. claims to diagnose mental health issues herself despite multiple qualified professionals who present evidence against her diagnoses.

My personal experience with Dr. Rodman has been excellent, wonderful Doctor and a really wonderful person.
