I visited Dr Medel several years ago and she was very condescending to me. This doctor said I was on too many meds for a person of my age, and she spent 15 minutes belittling me about my excessive meds. I ask my family doctor about this situation, and she said if I have a lot of medical issues do not worry about what Dr Medell commented. After this Doctor Medel said I had too many medical tests done, and I did not have a TIA after this she spent 10 minutes attacking her fellow doctors in the medical profession. This doctor said people enter the medical profession only to make money. After all of this I went to a neurologist at the Cleveland Clinic for neuropathy issues and this doctor was very competent and friendly. Currently I am dealing with memory loss issues, and I am going to Rush Memorial Medical system in Chicago where I will receive competent and compassionate medical care. In conclusion stay away from this previously mentioned doctor.

Dr Medel is the best Neurologist I’ve been to and I’ve been to a few…She takes her time with you and really listens to how your really feeling and what your problems are and you don’t always get that going to a doctor. She’s really a wonderful person and I wouldn’t go to anyone else.

Worst doctor I have ever been to. Ive been dealing with headaches for years, I went to her by refferal. She is a nasty and impatient person, she will degrade you and criticize everything about you without addressing the headaches at all.

I found a new neurologist because she has been extremely rude to me and will NOT LISTEN to a word you have to say. She said I suffer from migraines and I said no I don't have headaches very often, let alone migraines. She said my brain MRI shows Grey matter and that is a sign of migraines in someone my age (37). She said she was putting me on meds for them. I said no i don't want extra meds to take I'm on enough and plus I do not have any symptoms so I feel NO NEED to take meds if I don't have any signs or symptoms. She got very angry with me told me I was belittling her she has a degree and I'm a nobody so who knows better. I said well I'm still not taking meds for something that I don't suffer from. She told me to get a second opinion because she no longer wants to see me. She must get a kickback or something for the migraine meds she was pushing on me, because any other Dr. I have would have listened to me and not give up on me just because I don't agree. She is rude!

Very rude doctor. Cuts you off as you are speaking. Questioned why my family Dr still hand writes his notes. She spoke bad about other doctors. She threw my MRI disc across a table at me. She threw up her arms in discuss when I asked her a question. I have a brain injury and she treated me so badly. She made me cry, exasperating my deficits causing med to shake profusely. Called family Dr was told this was nothing new. She does this all the time to people. Seek another Dr outside of Lima.

Not a nice person, she interrupts you when you are trying to talk to her, she also is confrontational when you try to remind her of something you had discussed in the past. I am not going to see her again since the last appointment she raised her voice to me and put her finger in my face and basically acted like I was lying to her.

Staff is friendly; Dr cares about scheduling visits and coordinating with lab tests; Dr was very helpful when contacted after hours about a medication question. Only downside is that when staff has to ask Dr a question they fail (twice so far) to return call to patient.

I work for a doctors office and first off I thought she would be nice and she listened to me but she went on vacation and then I saw her for my follow up, she completely forgot what she was seeing me for even with the computer in front of her. I don't expect her to remember every patient but she was really mad that I went to another place to have my MRI's done. She was down right rude and also talked down about other physicians. I don't normally cry or walk out, but I did at this appt.

Not a nice woman. Interupts you, talks bad about other docs, doesn't believe you, mostly stares at her little laptop she carries around. Very rude, and made me cry more than one occasion. Finally found someone else.
