Dr. Marika Kachman, MD

I was in crisis and wound up in the Reston emergency room. The crazies and those that have no insurance, no ID, don’t speak English, everybody and their uncle was out that night. The ER was hammered. I was scared to death because of the pain I had been living with for over one year. She sat there held my hand and padded my hand assured me and assured me, and assured me (while I sat there and watched people being rolled in on trolleys). She did have to leave after a couple of minutes which is totally understandable. But she actually did all the test I needed, sat there and explained the results and reassured me that we will get through this. I cannot tell you the last time I saw, or felt compassion in a physician. If she could be my GP I would make the commute!
