Dr. Marilyn Laughead recently retired. She was my OB/GYN since before the births of my 35 and 33 year old daughters. She eventually became my daughters' GYN. Yes, she was matter-of-fact, but she was not cold. She listened, made her patients partners in their care - which many doctors only give lip service to - and I am grateful for a lifetime of care. Now that she has retired, I'm following Ashley Roman, her wonderful physicians assistant to Auwatukee, even if it means a 40 minute drive. Dr. Laughead, I hope you enjoy retirement. Thank you for everything.

I usually see another provider for my annual well-woman exam but saw Dr. Laughead for the first time when she reviewed an ultrasound with me. At this time she seemed cold and unfriendly, didn’t even introduce herself. However, my opinion of her changed when I had to go in for a colposcopy. She explained everything in detail and made sure I felt comfortable and had all questions answered. The procedure was uncomfortable but less painful than I expected. I feel like I am in good hands with Dr. L.

l have (mostly) had a great experience with North Scottsdale Woman's Health . In particular, Ashley Romans (Nurse Practitioner) is the BEST! I would never leave this office due to Ashley. She is warm, knowledgeable, patient, non-judgmental, genuinely caring and helpful...just so WONDERFUL in all ways. I did not care for Dr. Laughead...perhaps she was having a bad day or we didn't mesh, but I found her to be callous/not personable at all. I originally went here for an MD who left the practice.

I chose Dr. Laughead in part because she delivers all of her patient's babies. It was very important to me to have the same provider I saw in the office be with me to deliver my baby. After a truly grueling labor with 2 failed epidurals I was ready to ask for a C-section but Dr. Laughead was so calm and collected and basically said nope you're going to do this! She helped me through an unexpected natural delivery when any other Dr would have gone for a C-section. Love her and all of her staff!

She is genuinely caring about you on every level not just the physical. I changed my insurance company just so I could keep going to her. She is extremely knowledgeable as well and very gentle
