Dr. Marilyn Mayer, MD

Dr. Mayer is a dangerous doctor who thinks nothing of continuing to prescribe benzo drugs to addicted seniors in addition to sleep medication and other dangerous drugs. My mother is 85 years old and, even though I have intervened and moved her to a safer PCP doctor who DOES NOT prescribe controlled substances, she can call Dr. Mayer who will still provide her refills on these medications. Dr. Mayer's interest is in billing Medicare and padding her bank account. She does not have a heart for the best interest of her patients and is a liability.

dr.mayer is a no nonsense lovely and kind physician.she's not forgotten how to be kind and listens.there is no 5minute rush you out the door,bring in next patient etc.

I have been seeing Dr Mayer for several years. She is an excellent listener and explains in clear language her recommendations for treatment plans. In addition, Dr. Mayer has an excellent support team and network of medical professionals she can recommend if needed. Highly recommend Dr. Mayer.

I was a patient of DrMayer’s for abot 11 yrs. She was always thorough, kind, compassionate and caring. She always took the time to hear what was going on and help me. I moved to Tyler, TX in late 2022 and have not found a doctor yet that comes close to the doctor she is. I am to the point of making the 3 1/2 hr drive back to Dr Mayer every time I need medical attention. I miss her, Pam and the staff very much.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mayer for nearly 20 years. She is knowledgeable, patient, kind, and very thorough! I also lover her nurse Pam who has been with Dr. Mayer for years and two of them are wonderful. She really listens to all of my concerns and never makes me feel rushed. I would recommend her to anyone!

Have been coming here for over two years and Dr. Mayer is absolutely fantastic, caring, knowledgeable, sweet- HOWEVER her office staff is a CIRCUS, especially Leanne (sp?) and Kim. Once thing was consistent over the two years, no return calls and VERY hard to get someone to answer the phone. They do not return voicemails, EVER, rarely answer the phone, and take no ownership over clerical issues. It took EIGHT months to correct a billing issue of them submitting wrong codes to a lab and my insurance. EIGHT. Kim would hang up the phone when I would call repeatedly and place me on hold for over 30 min while she knew I had the insurance on the line waiting to speak to her. They allege they have no office manager. I literally called and pressed every of their six extensions including nurse’s line to be able to resolve this issue over 8 months since by this point the bill was COLLECTIONS due to their incompetency. The ONLY person there who helped me in under 5 minutes was a woman named Tyeol

in the last week Dr Mayer is a superb physician and spends time with the explanations to patients about their diagnosis on the situation at hand. Dr Mayer is very thorough and develops a great rapport with her patients. Office staff is excellent and nursing staff as well. I’m truly impressed about the service I received.i recommend her highly.
