Such a great neurooncologist!
I saw Dr. Daras when she was at UCSF, and absolutely loved her. I had just moved from a different state and my previous neuro and neurooncology team had been effectively gaslighting me about the growth of a brain tumor. I ended up having the tumor surgically removed 2.5 months after my very first appointment with Dr. Daras, because she actually cared enough to determine the best course of action for my (yes, actually) growing tumor. I have to follow up every six months, and she made sure that I got to see her for my follow up before she left UCSF, instead of just letting some other doctor take over. She really cares about her patients, and I literally would trust her with my life!

Excellent care! We could not have felt safer or more confident in Dr. Daras' hands. She cared for my father as if they were her own family.

She was uncertain of treatment options, inexperienced, and preoccupied. I was told many times by the nurses, "she had a really rough weekend" or "she’s back from vacation and busy". The way she handled the end of my Dad’s life couldn’t have been more unprofessional. I emailed several times with great concern stating he was getting worse, coughing & dizzy. She brushed it all off saying it was side effects of the chemo. NO sense of urgency or care. It wasn’t side effects. He died 3 weeks later.
