Irritated and cold
When I called the after-hours service to speak with the provider on call, Dr Pepe was clearly irritated that I had woken her up. I don't call this number lightly. My daughter had been very sick for days, in a lot of pain, and I was looking for answers and help. She brushed me off and told me to call the office in the morning "if she could make it until morning". No, my daughter wasn't dying or in need of a hospital visit -if so I would have taken her to the hospital. However, I had true medical concerns that I felt warranted this call. I thought this was the intent of the after-hours service. Dr Pepe made us feel like less than a priority and I would not recommend her as a pediatrician.
