I saw Dr. Ballif for years, but his front desk staff was so rude I stopped going. I told him and nothing changed. Now I have reached out 2 times to see him virtually with no response. I saw a woman from his office in SLC Dr. Gupta, and she did not clear up my eye infection with one script and would not refill it or try anything different. So very disappointed!

Failure to correct an eye test miscalculation
I have been going to Dr Ballif for over 10 years. He’s preformed lasik procedures which went well. Then I needed a cataract lens replacement. He recommended an Alcon PanOptix trifocal lens. Immediately after the surgery I couldn’t see anything. The lens was not the right prescription nor measurement for my eye. Over the past year he has preformed 3 lasik procedures trying to correct the miscalculation rather than just replacing the incorrect lens. And now he is no longer seeing patients, only preforming surgery’s. I spent over $4,000 out of pocket for this lens he highly recommended. He has downplayed and just blown off my concerns. He gave me a free contact so I can see to drive. Today my vision in that eye is a very cloudy 20/50 and getting worse.

Dr. Ballif is an excellent surgeon and a very personable provider. He did a good job on my lasik and I was impressed with his staff and facility. The downside is he doesn't explain the risks or side effects that lasik can cause. I had dry eyes, which I guess is very common, and it has been 10 years now and it did not go away. Then I ran into more complications, and that is when things changed. I was treated differently and not explained my condition and was quickly referred to seek other medical help. So beware, if any complications occur, he and his practice will quickly bail on you.

Ballif does a great job with my eyes and the one I trust with them. He did laser surgery to correct my distance and a karma for reading and it has been great. Office team is great.

Very poor. No patient/doctor cummunication other than interest in my insurance. Kept trying to hard sell more (bait and switch). Surgery was not successful, very disappointed in service and surgery.

Dr. Baliff performed by lasik ten years ago. I had 400/400 vision and -1.5 /astigmatism. I also have thinner corneas. Surgery went perfectly and for almost ten years I saw 20/20. Then I hit my late 40's and started using readers. Now, after returning to online college/heavy computer use, I returned for a touch up in my right eye for astigmatism. Don't let anxiety over the surgery stop you from correcting your vision- Dr. Baliff is a top rated Ophthalmologist and surgeon.

I have been a patient of Dr Ballif for over 20 years. He is in my humble opinion one of the best eye doctors in the state. I have had multiple issues with my eyes and my regular eye doctor has consulted with Dr. Ballif regarding. Thru those conversations I became Dr Ballif's patient. He always answers any question I ask in easy to understand details. He is a great eye surgeon. Very minimal time to do a cataract surgery and post follow-ups. I recommend everyone to see him. My regards Rick B

DR. BALLIF IS AN EXCELLENT AND VERY EXPERIENCE DOCTOR. HE REMOVED BOTH OF MY CATARACTS WITH EASE AND NO DISCOMFORT. HE ALSO GAVE ME AN EYE EXAM RATHER THAN SENDING ME TO AN OPTOMETRIST WHICH I GREATLY APPRECIATE. JUDITH GREENWOOD
