Dr. Mark Banakis, DDS

After much research and visits to other oral surgeons, I chose Dr Banakis and I am so pleased that I did! I had an implant with sinus lift. Surgery took less than 1/2 hr AND he used a local anesthetic! Other surgeons were thousands more $$ and wanted to put me to sleep! The office staff made me feel less nervous and everyone took great care of me! Thank you all!

I have been going to Dr. Banakis for over 23 years. I had 4 implants, that happened to be my 4 upper front teeth. I have an extremely narrow mouth, that makes it difficult to work on. Dr. Banakis never mentioned the degree of difficulty. I was reassured the moment Dr. Banakis explained exactly what needed to be done. He is professional, highly skilled, kind, compassionate and extremely empathetic. He happens to be as Brilliant as he is caring. He has never criticized any of the work that I had done previously by other Drs. and my mouth was a mess. When you are the Best; You try to help other Drs. instead of criticizing them. The Bonus is that he would not have his staff be any different because they represent him. Dr. Banakis is a Dr. that you will enjoy paying for a change. If you can find Woodfield Mall, right off the expressway; You can find Dr. Banakis, I guarantee your trip will be worth your while.

Dr. Banakis is very friendly & kind. He puts you at ease right away. I am a very nervous dental patient and I am very comfortable with him & his staff. He talks you through the whole procedure and explains what he is doing, no surprises. Even while he is doing the procedure he calms you down. I would recommend Dr. Banakis to anyone that needs an oral surgeon. He would be great for kids & teenagers too.

Dr. Banakis is very friendly. He makes sure that you understand what will take place for your procedure. My son had his wisdom teeth removed and Dr. Banakis and staff made sure he was comfortable from beginning to end. I would recommend Schaumburg Oral Surgery to family and friends for sure.

Dr Banakis is very good! Great personality, knows his stuff! Was in there for an extraction and implant! Absolutely no issue with his work! Work was done in 2015 and being over a year not one problem with this tooth! Staff is very friendly and helpfull and nice! Strongly recommend!

Visited this office for an implant. The office staff was great from making the appointment all the way through to the followup checkup calls. Dr. Banakis is very friendly and easy to talk to. He explains everything very well in detail on what the procedure will involve and what is expected. Procedure was painless and overall I am very satisfied with my experience. I do and will continue to recommend this office.

My first appointments were good, but my post op appt wasn't for wisdom tooth extraction. I think the doctor looked in my mouth for 5 seconds. I told him that on one side that my jaw was tight and the hole seemed large and asked if this was due to my tooth being more impacted. His response was I can't remember, but that might be the case. He didn't even act as if he could look at my chart. He really seemed as if he couldn't be bothered to answer any questions.

Dr. Benakis provides a clear explanation of his diagnosis and a thorough disclosure of the potential benefits and as well as any side effects of the proposed surgery. His treatment plan also clearly discloses the cost of of the proposed surgical procedure. William Batte
