Very knowledgeable and great bedside manner
I saw Dr Cooper yesterday and he really instills confidence and took his time explaining my diagnosis. He also has an excellent staff who has been readily available to answer my 8 million questions as I am in a fact finding mode.

Inappropriate and Unhelpful
Consult for painful benign breast cyst. After breast exam he remained by the bedside and spoke about treatment, next steps. His tone was dismissive and condescending. He said it's not cancer, advised against surgery because I would look terrible afterward, said the pain was not caused by the cyst. Said mastalgia is common, untreatable and referenced his hundreds of patients that have worse pain than me. My primary dr had mentioned aspiration so I asked. He said he could do it but didn't think it would help. When I asked about the procedure he gave little info and I had to ask multiple questions. The worst thing was that during this discussion, he touched my left breast several times. The breast exam was complete and I was covered back up. First I thought he was pointing at the cyst, breast to communicate his point but then he touched my breast just at the end of a sentence, not to point something out on my body. I was extremely uncomfortable, did not feel safe. I do not recommend him.

Dr. Cooper and staff are the great!
I had my initial consult today after being diagnosed with breast cancer. The doctor took time to explain the process. I felt seem, heard and that I was not just a case. They left me feeling that I am in great hands and will be cared for every step of the way through the process.

I have been a patient of Dr. Mark Cooper for five years. I can’t say enough about what a wonderful experience my visits have been. He has a very caring approach towards his clients and his staff are great too. Any visit to a surgeon is a time of anxiety, but Dr Cooper leaves you feeling important and informed. 5+ stars

Extremely good first impression
I felt comfortable from the outset. He was in no hurry, very relaxed ,answered all my questions thoroughly and with demonstrations to some. Went over all my options with pros and cons. Did not pressure me for an immediate answer. I have gotten very positive word of mouth comments about him as well. Off to a very good start.

So because the information was not a positive reflection on this physician, then it cannot be posted. There is no telling how many people he has made this surgical error. I just want to advise what happened to my daughter where it may not happen to someone else. He knows what he did. After a simple thyroidectomy, she was sent home with an O2 level of 85 and was readmitted to the hospital the following day with double aspiration pneumonia. After much investigation, it was determined that her phrenic nerve was damage during her surgery. My daughter is now TOTALLY DISABLED due to surgical trauma. One star only because there was not a ZERO star rating!

I recently found a lump in my breast via a self exam on a Friday. My anxiety went through the roof . I have been in the care of this wonderful and compassionate Dr for over 12 years. Dr. Mark Cooper was there with his nurse Karen as soon as they arrived Monday morning. I had a mammo and diagnosis and procedure within 4 hrs. He was aware and there to comfort me and I knew that. I love them both. Dr cooper..thank you !!!!! Karen you are an angel. The best Surgeon and human EVER!
