Dr. Durfee properly diagnosed my 11 year old son and I, quickly and efficiently. He was spot on and got us on the correct medications to alleviate our symptoms. He is direct and honest with his communications. Traits that I absolutely love to see in a doctor in the professional medical field today. Five Stars all day long!

'Don't like my answer, get over it!'
Telehealth
I am new to Humana. I have had a history of sinus infections that turn into walking pneumonia if not treated in a timely manner. I even had the sinus surgery last year to try and help prevent all of the infections. I have not established a primary care with Humana as of yet so I called telehealth because I was having the typical symptoms that I have experienced for years. I tried (notice I said tried) to explain this to Dr. Durfee but he was not going to hear anything I had to say. His quick response said you have flu or covid, go to the store and get tested. We tried to explain to him that it is not covid or flu, it is sinus issues. He then accused me of insulting him because I didn't agree with what he said. He then proceeded to tell me 'don't like my answer, get over it!' Well Dr. Durfee, we did as you stated and went to get tested. Guess what? Just as we expected, it was not covid or flu, it was the sinus infection that we already knew. He should not be practicing medicine.

Telehealth
Gods help you if you get this guy on telehealth (though the in-person reviews don't look much better), he doesn't turn on his cam, likely because he likes to take his calls while driving, which happened to me as well. The visit felt like a blitz to try and get it over with me as quickly as possible. He also presented false info on government regulations on a medicine prescription I have previously used on multiple occasions without issue, dismissed my underlying conditions and said I don't need the medication because I'm not at the risk of death, pretty low bar I'd say. I'd rate this doctor very unprofessional, it seems he's made his decision on how to advise me by a quick glance of pre-visit questions and the talking part was a formality. He did try to lighten up the mood by saying that these days COVID-19 isn't a big deal and 'you can go about your day as usual, you can go to work, you can go shopping, just hang in there and don’t spread it', I laughed but I don't think he was joking

Telehealth visit
Telehealth
The doctor was pleasant and quick to identify my issue. My rx’s were sent in correctly and I am doing better now. The only issue was the audio quality was bad at times, as if he was using a cell connection. I was using my home internet so I doubt it was on my end. There was no video, just audio. But I actually prefer that as it wouldn’t have helped with the diagnosis and I have social anxiety. Overall, doctor Durfer helped me and he was pleasant. I would return to him in the future if needed.

Avoid this doctor if possible
My experience with this doctor was horrible. I found him rushed and condescending. But even worst of all he made two mistakes with my prescriptions that could have impacted my health had they not been caught. The office turned customers away before closing time (despite there being no line), and didn't answer the pharmacist's call about my prescription when it was still 15 minutes before closing. In the end I had to call my primary care doctor to get the correct prescription the next day, but in the meantime I experienced a lot of stress and had no benefit from going to the urgent care the night before.

Telehealth
I had a telehealth appointment with this doctor and honestly it left me in tears. The phone call was 2 minutes long and I felt that he did not give me any time to talk or ask me questions, he talked to me in a very condescending way and essentially hung up the phone as fast as he could. I didn’t even get time to ask any questions or explain anything. Honestly felt like fraud. After googling his name and finding out all these other negative reviews, it’s a shame he’s a part of MD Live which is through health insurance programs.

Saw him at an urgent care. He spent less than one minute with my son who had suspected broken wrist. Never even came within 4 feet of him so no exam of the arm at all. Said it wasn’t broken and sent us home with brace. No other instructions. There were ZERO patients in the clinic at the time. Heading to the ortho today to get some actual medical care.

There should be no star for him. I have no idea how he is even a doctor. Terrible bedside manner, could care less about you only himself. So rude, doesn’t listen....needs to go back to medical school and learn how to be a real doctor. Had the worst experience with that clown. Stay away from him, he’s useless.

Went back to the er with a cyst that started causing severe pain.. Might as well have told me i shouldnt have come in because they gave me a referral (even though my appointment was weeks away). Terrible bedside manner, and as someone who os in the healthcare field he is quite frankly terrible at his job, and didnt follow protocol with basic procedures.
