Dr. Mark Klaassen, MD

I went to see Dr. Klaassen almost 3 years ago. I knew my right knee needed to be replaced. After an exam, he told me my left knee and both hips also needed new joints! It was also evident my husband needed a new knee! We started on our new joint journey in Jan. of 2020. In a few days short of one full year, Dr. Klaassen did all 5 surgeries! We did lots of therapy at the Nappanee office and have been so pleased with the results! We both walk straighter and have more mobility. Stairs, tying my shoes, walking long distances are now a breeze! Thank you Dr. Klaassen and your staff!

Dr Klasseen performed bilateral hip resurfaces on my hips in 2011-2012. Excellent surgeon with fantastic results. Don’t replace! Resurface!! As an active firefighter I would only resurface and get back to work!

Dr. Klaassen did his best to repair/correct the original hip replacement performed by Dr. Kelbel at S. Bend Orthopedics . I am so grateful for this mans skills. Of course I would recommend Dr. Klaassen . His knowledge and ability to express the error of another physician is greatly appreciated. He wanted to help improve bad situation and he did.

I had a right total knee replacement, I was in the hospital overnight and went home the next day. I have been steadily progressing with my exercises. I highly recommend Dr. Mark Klassen !

Dr. Klaassen seems to be very caring and took the time to answer any of my questions before my surgery. Had orthoscopic surgery on my left knee and need to have the right one replace I have all the confidence in Dr. Klaassen and look forward to having the right knee replace to alleviate that pain.

Dr Klaassen is a very gifted surgeon, i was impressed with his attitude and genuine concern on my very first visit, i have had both knees done with partial replacement, and i have been very happy with my choice of going to Dr. Klaassen

I was referred to Dr. Klaassen earlier this summer. During the first visit I received injections in both knees. Approximately 2 weeks later I began to have issues with my right knee again. Dr. Klaassen's office staff seemed genuinely concerned about the situation. After 2 more visits and few more test I met with Dr. Klaassen and was scheduled for a total knee replacement. Today marks 2 weeks post op...My pain levels and swelling are lower now than they have been in 6 months. 3 weeks ago my biggest challenge was how to get up from a seated position. Now I am looking forward to climbing the stands to watch and support my son in Marching Band and Quality activities with my grandchildren.

I couldn't be more pleased with the pre-op and post-op care given me by DR. Klaassen and his staff for both my right and left knee replacement surgeries. He is the best. I thank God for him and his talent and caring

I arrived at my first appointment believing that I had a knee problem. I had been limping for two months. Dr. Klaassen quickly clarified: It's the hip. A surgery date was established for later in the summer, and a cortisone shot provided relief until surgery. Since my surgery, I have faithfully done my exercises, walked periodically, and iced. I am pleased with my progress and with all the support Dr. Klaassen and his staff have provided along the way.

I have had numerous surgeries by a variety of surgeons. No one has exercised the care or the depth of preparation of me (as a patient) as thoroughly as Dr. Klassen. Great staff, no stone unturned, great care and follow up.

Had some issue with hospital staff

Excellent surgeon excellent references excellent outcome so far. It’s only been 3 weeks from my surgery date but I am so happy with Dr Klaassen and my recovery to date. Elkhart General hospital is also 5 star in my opinion. Nursing staff excellent. Very clean hospital.

I have suffered a knee surgery from a different doctor for over a year. Dr. Klaassen did a very thorough exam and knew right away what the problem was. He performed a level one revision and I am now on the road to recovery. Don't waste your time with other doctors. Schedule an appointment with Dr. Klaassen. He knows what to do and will do it right the first time. Thanks Doc..!!
