Saw Dr. Matthew in August for my knee. Discussed options shots or replacement Opted to try shots, try the conservative route first. When effects of the shot wore off in two weeks there was no questions asked surgery scheduled as soon could be done. Very accommodating. He has also done both of my hips. Very pleased with results of all surgeries .

Went in for my knee, had x-ray. Discussed options, went with cortisone.

Individual people and follow-up communications were outstanding!! Even a not so personable nurse was very professional.Communication among staff in hospital appears to need work:Saw Dr Mattes at 7am and he checked off.Others seemed to drag and not listen. I became agitated about noon.Finally discharged about 4 pm

He was very professional, listen to my needs and he makes sure that everything is addressed prior to leaving. Ihave done both knee replacents with him. After he did such a great job on the first knee I made sure to that he was the provider I choose for the 2nd one.

Dr Matthes is the most compassionate and generally concerned Surgeon about your condition. Thank you so much for guiding my wife and I throughout the this process.

Dr. Matthes was professional and really seemed to care about me. He did a very good job. Only issue is that my husband has a form that needs to be filled out for his work so he can stay home with me and care for me. His office charged him twenty dollars for this, this is unnecessary and a tad greedy.

Dr Mathias is a caring and kind medical professional. He listened to what was causing me discomfort, offered options, with the benefits of each. His care is exceptional.

Just as everyone is saying. He is very professional and mild mannered. He takes time to listen to concerns and answers any questions. This was my second knee replacement after having the first done four years ago and the right hip 17 years ago. He’s my go-to doctor. This surgery went better than the last one. Very good care all around.

The doctor and staff was amazing.

I saw Dr. Matthes on Nov. 30th, 2023 for a very painful swollen knee. Swelling was all the way down to foot. I was a big confused on dates (when it started and symptoms). His Nurse came in before hand wrote down BP, Oxygen level, weight (Ugh). His 2nd assistant came in to write down answers to symptoms and dates. She moved leg around to make sure it wasn't my hip or back. Dr. Matthes entered, had X-ray of earlier visit to an Urgent Pain Clinic. Talked about previous injections. I went with the cortisone injection. I have osteoarthritis. Not ready for replacement. Dr M and his 2 assistants were so good at listening, very attentive, caring and didn't rush. Am very grateful.

Dr. Matthes is friendly, knowledgeable, and excellent at diagnosing a more complex orthopedic situation.I went to him for a second opinion and am very pleased with the treatment plan he has proposed. It is such a relief to finally have answers.
