My wife has agnosia dementia and she identifies me as her dad. I had made a simple request that they either not call me by name or call me by her dad's first name. There is a space on their forms to indicate what you wish to be called. I was told by the Practice Administrator (PA) that since they have 80 employees that it would not be possible to accommodate my request. An appointment for a physical was cancelled by the PA the day before it was scheduled. I was amazed at their attitude since one of their employees is familiar with our situation. Don't dare disagree with anything anyone in that practice tells you. Don't expect any recognition of any condition other than what is absolutely 'run of the mill'. I have five other family members that use that practice. I will do my best to get them to change. They are all in my will.

I had a recent wellness visit with Dr. Miles wherein we had a difference of opinion regarding my care (mind you I've been his patient for years). It was a very candid but civil exchange of differing opinions. When I left the office I didn't give it a second thought. Several months later when I called into the office to request a refill I found out that I had been dropped as a patient for "non-compliance". I was dumbfounded ... I had an upcoming appointment in September. The office proceeded to tell me that they had cancelled all my future appointments, however, I had never been notified. After further investigation as to the nature of my "non-compliance" it turns out the difference of opinion was his reason for dropping me. It's very disappointing that having a candid conversation with your doctor turns into this.

Dr Miles turley listens to your concerns and does a complete job explaining what he wants to do for testing if necessary and explains what's going on. He has great bed side manners and very respectful of your time and very thoughtful of your appointment time and limits your waiting.
