Dr. Mark Moulton, MD

DR. Moulton is, hands down, the best Doctor I've been to out of any type of Doctor. He is kind, professional, very knowledgeable and strives to do what is best for his patients. I have been seeing him for 15 years and will continue to do so until he no longer practices medicine.

Dr. Moulton has treated me three times each I feel was successful. Currently he is advising me as procedure options to relieve spinal pain in a different location. I trust his advice and skills. We in Muskegon, Michigan a fortunate to have a physician of his class in our area. He listens to my concerns and responds in a way that anyone can understand. He does not rush his appointments.

I have suffered with back problems for years. I had multiple surgeons decline helping me because of the condition of my spine. When I started losing control of my legs, I was determined to find someone who could help me. That’s when I found Dr Moulton. From the very first appointment and all the way through two surgeries he was committed to helping me. I ended up being fused L1 through S1. I have my legs back and nearly pain free 90 days post surgery. I can’t thank him and his staff enough for what they’ve done for me. I am forever grateful.

My personal experience from a complicated, 4-hour spinal surgery showed me that Dr. Mark Moulton is the best among the very best physicians. He patiently answered all my questions, discussed possible positive & negative surgical outcomes, and the post-surgery recovery requirements. He also stressed that, for him, each person is different and each surgery is unique. Although he is a very busy surgeon, Dr. Moulton visited me in the hospital to check on my recovery & on the newly installed rods and screws. Dr. Moulton is amazing he has great bedside manner he always fully explains xrays mri he answers all of your questions he took my case when the specialists in Grand Rapids refused I had idiopathic scoliosis my spine was and S and he straightened it it was a major surgery that required me to have a lot of medal in my spine I was nervous buy Dr Moulton's confidence put my mind at ease he is really great

Dr Multon has been my back surgeon for my past two surgeries both of which I have had excellent results. He is a highly skilled surgeon who is very knowledgeable, caring and compensate. He takes time to listen and is very thorough with his explanations. He is focused on your care from beginning to end. Dr Multon in my opinion is one of the best in his field. I trust no one else for my back issues or surgeries.

Sought non surgical treatment for a bulging disc and general back pain(including scoliosis) for a year before deciding on surgery. My pain doctor recommended Dr Moulton even though he practiced for another hospital network. All my other sources indicated Dr Moulton was a skilled surgeon and carrying doctor. He did a fusion of my 4/5 lumbar. Surgery went fine with no complications at 7 weeks. I have potentially multiple sources of back pain. Dr Moulton took a conservative approach and focused on most likely pain source rather than more aggressive multi level approach. Given difficulty of diagnosing back pain, this seems like the right answer to me. Time will tell. I will return to him if additional work is needed. He is busy. Come to appointments ready with questions.

I liked him because he was very easy to talk to, very personable. After the visit on the way home I met a woman that had a fusion surgery 5 years ago done by Dr. Moulton. I asked her about her mobility. She showed me how she could bend over and twist. She was very happy with the results and recommended him highly. She helped to put my mind at ease should fusion become the best option.
