Confidence in abilities
Office uses state of the art equipment. It’s a doctor’s office, i.e., wait times can be a little long. Not surprising, since he takes Medicare and Tricare both. Staff is excellent. Found him through friends, who all lauded his knowledge, abilities and surgical outcomes. Personal outcomes: my eye pressure is down and my cataract op went well. Been seeing Dr. Pavilack for 5 years. If you want knowledge and ability, he’s your guy. If you want quick visits and witty repartee, you’ll be disappointed. He has a dry / wry sense of humor that you will only see occasionally, but he’s mostly all business. Works for me.

I saw this surgeon for cataract surgery. Dr Pavilack is a highly trained surgeon with an impressive medical background and competence in computer assisted eye surgery. If I need to have any further surgeries on my eyes I would trust this surgeon. My retina doctor was impressed with his cataract surgery. I might need more surgery a vitrectomy for a macular pucker and I would not hesitate to use this surgeon again.

I have been a patient for about 6 years. 3 of the last 4 times, the wait time after they dilated my eyes was long - today - I walked out after waiting 60 minutes and being told he just went in with someone and there was another person ahead of me. I have no problem with his medical abilities, however, I do have a problem when the way he schedules - makes me think his time is way more important than his patients.

I was seen by Dr. Pavilack on an emergency basis following symptoms of flashing lights. He made it very clear that he was doing me a favor by fitting me on on a short notice. He was very condescending and rude. He ignored me when I asked a question and talked over me by looking at the nurse and addressing her. He told me that I had junk in the back of my eyes. He did NOT tell me that I had a vitreous detachment. He seemed angry when I attempted to ask another question that he did not answer.
