Look for a more competent doctor.
My visit with this doctor confirmed to me why he is rated so low. Tried to tell me I was wrong about the problems with my neck, even though confirmed by no less than three different spine specialists and half a dozen MRIs. Besides being wrong about his diagnosis, (confirmed by another orthopedic surgeon from Kalamazoo), he proceeded to insinuate that I was a liar about my condition, even though already confirmed by several MRIs. This doctor is living in his own little narrow minded shell and should have paid more attention in medical school. He is very unprofessional and his experience, knowledge, demeanor and so called bedside manner are all grossly lacking compared to any other doctor I have met in the past 50 years. Patients deserve much better than this. Do yourself a favor and do not let this poorly educated man work on you. There are much better trained doctors out there.

Knee Replacement
Dr Russell did both knee replacements and I have to say, that I'm extremely pleased with the final results! From mobility to to a scar that is barely visible. My experience was top notch from the beginning of my journey to the end. I highly highly recommend Dr Russell.

Please Don't allow him to operate on you. My partner had a knee replacement with him and it was not good from the beginning. Something was wrong. He said he needed to do a second surgery to put in a shim. Another botched job. We are now going to a surgeon in Kalamazoo that fixes jobs like these. He said there are so many things wrong with it the knee has to be redone. Please don't trust him. He is not a qualified surgeon.

I have recommended Dr. Russell to several people, including my daughter. He has always treated me with respect and I have had several issues. Carpal Tunnel surgery twice, he rebuilt my wrist, and I have had a full knee replacement, with the other knee soon to be replaced. I would never think of going any where else. Dr. Russell and his staff are the best people that I have dealt with. Never have a problem getting in if I really need to.

Horrible experience, this man never listened to a thing I said. X-ray showed slight arthritis, after a needless MRI on my second visit Dr. Russell said I was a candidate for a knee replacement. OsteoBiFlex has resolved all my issues. He suggested I get a knee brace. Waste of medical resources but perpetuated his craft. Both visits didn't even total 10 minutes. IF (and this is a big if) I go back, I will request that he NOT attend to me.
