I had a great visit with Dr. Schrumpf regarding my shoulder pain. X-rays were taken; he quickly diagnosed my issues; and explained my options. My husband saw Dr Schrumpf for his broken collarbone, so I already had confidence in the doctor. He is very professional, yet personable and was not quick to recommend surgery as first option. I have had hip and knee surgeries with other Cal Pacific surgeons, and believe the practice is top notch. Very happy to recommend Dr. Schrumpf and California Pacific Orthopaedics.

Dr Schrumpf is no-nonsense and skilled at his craft. The surgery went off without a hitch, he was there to answer all of my questions and even called me after surgery just to check on me. If you need surgery, you’re good with Dr Schrumpf.

I saw Dr. Schrumpf for a second opinion on a problematic shoulder replacement done by someone else. He explained the situation and described the pain vs. gain from doing a revision of the prior surgery. He is personable and looks at you when he speaks, a major improvement over many surgeons!

Dr. Schrumpf is a caring professional. I received excellent care and I no longer have pain in that shoulder. The office staff is helpful and efficient. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Schrumpf to anyone needing shoulder surgery. I am so very grateful.

His steroid shots work!

Dr. Schrumpf successfully did a Total Reverse Shoulder Replacement on my right shoulder 4 yrs. ago. I recently saw him for a second opinion on having the same procedure done now on my left shoulder. I would go back to him in a second, but it would be easier to have it done locally, 4 hrs. away. Dr. Schrumpf was as easy to talk to as he was before, explained things very thoroughly, and was extremely helpful. I would have no hesitation , apart from the distance, to having him do this second surgery on me. I recommend him highly.

I had a good experience working with Dr. Schrumpf. He diagnosed my shoulder issue quickly and his solution is working. He seems very capable and competent and was personable . I also enjoy working with Cal Pacific It’s a great facility and booking & billing are very easy.

Dr. Schrumpf is a compassionate doctor who takes the time to really listen to his patients in his care. You want to be useful in your life. He helped me get back to housework! I have 2 households to take care of and I’m the handywoman! (Ie I upgraded a bathroom over the weekend, removed vanity, sink, faucet, toilet & all plumbing & flooring to sub floor!) I saw Dr. Schrumpf for a consult about shoulder surgery for osteoarthritis. He was up to speed on my file, explained the surgery procedure and what to expect during recovery. He listened to my concerns, and answered all of my questions and those of my husband in an unhurried manner. He is friendly, has a good sense of humor and inspires confidence.

I came to Dr. Schrumpf to repair and revise another surgery whereby another local shoulder surgeon did not do the correct procedure. Dr. Schrumpf was very knowledgeable, caring and truly interested in helping me. It was a lot of work, but Schrumpf saved the day. He is attentive at every appointment and has a refreshing no-nonsense attitude toward healing.

I had a difficult issue and had seen a number of doctors over more than a month. Dr. Schrumpf was the first to put the situation into clear perspective and chart a path to resolution. During our first meeting he picked up the phone and called a specialist at the hospital and asked him to see me as an outpatient - an appointment that is hard to get for people not in the hospital. I highly recommend Dr. Schrumpf and his practice. The office is clean, well managed, and runs on time.

Dr. Schrumpf knew exactly what my problem was and explained it to me throughly. After a painless cortisone shot I was on my way. Physical therapy was mentioned as a possibility if things didn’t work. I called and left a message with his assistant regarding PT but never heard back, twice. The pain is gone. I’ll deal with the limited movement.

Friendly and welcoming staff! I was seen very efficiently and after the MA saw me I didn't wait long thereafter for X-rays or to be seen by Dr. Schrumpf. Dr. Schrumpf was friendly, warm and efficient. I didn't feel like I was getting rushed so he can stay on schedule. After his evaluation he asked if I had any questions. He answered them and gave honest feedback that was based on information and not 'feeling'. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
