Dr. Smitherman has been my PCP since I moved to Florida in 1991. From day one through today he is so compassionate, efficient, caring, and thorough. Pleasant to speak with and great doctor-patient relationship. He listens to what you have to say and respects your opinions and decisions about what you want to do with your own body. I am at a loss because he’s retiring at the young age of 63 and there is no one out there equal to his qualities. But I wish him the best in his retirement.

Dr. Smitherman takes all the time needed to clearly discuss my health issues, medicines, and lab results. He genuinely cares and has a great sense of humor, too!

Been seeing Dr. Smitherman for over 25 years. While I only have to see him for yearly physicals; and I am likely the most boring patient he sees (no health issues), he still takes the time to make sure I'm really doing OK; explains each lab work request, and offers real data as to why I should have some preventative measure screenings done. I'm not a fan of our medical system (big pharma and corrupt health insurance) - but I would trust this doctor with my life.
