I met Dr. Smyth this week and was VERY impressed with his patience and kindness. He answered my many questions about the treatment of my shoulder, the benefits of surgery and what to do to alleviate the constant pain. I will definitely continue care with him and refer him to anyone who needs this kind of Doctor. Thank you. Verna Kresse

Great if all you need is conservative treatment. I sought a second opinion which ultimately led to relief from my injury.

I normally don't leave reviews, but wanted to take time to recommend Dr. Smyth. I had a great experience with him and his office staff. More importantly, my knee feels great and all my pain is gone. Thank you!

Dr. Smyth is an excellent surgeon. My son had a sports related injury that required a specialized surgeon. Dr. Smyth was so honest and thorough. Best of all was his bedside manner and positivity. You can tell that Dr. Smyth just loves his job! If you need an Ortho sports doc... he's your guy!!!

I was most impressed with his bedside manner, honesty and ability to relate to my 16 year old. He went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that our needs were addressed even after we found out that he was out of network with our insurance and we would need to go to a different surgeon! After getting the bad news that my year and a half old daughter had a toddlers fracture, Dr. Smyth immediately put me at ease upon arriving at his office after a full explanation of her injury as well as a plan of action. He was so friendly and great with my toddler that she did not even cry when he was applying her full leg cast. I am so thankful for Dr. Smyth and his great staff for their medical expertise and know that we were in the best hands.

I had the mishap of falling and shattering my hip. A recommendation took me to Dr. Smyth. Dr Smyth explained clearly what was wrong and how he planned to repair the fracture. His friendliness, medical knowledge and expertise gave me great trust in him. I am now back to my previous active lifestyle. The entire staff is very friendly and efficient. Waiting time is minimal. I have complete faith in him and would recommend him highly.

I've only had one appointment with Dr. Smyth - thus far - but I really liked his approach. I thought his examination was very thorough. He was willing to take the time to explain to me the aspects of my injury - both long and short term - including the dangers of rushing to surgery and why it would be a good idea to take a conservative approach; specific to my injury. Finally, he was happy to answer all of my questions and take my thoughts into consideration of my treatment. I will return.

Dr. Smyth was very professional, personable, and conservative. He offered me treatment options with his recommendations, then he collaborated with me on final on the course of action. He could have suggested surgery right away, but because we went the conservative route of physical therapy, I was able to return to my previous activities instead of undergoing surgery.
